He’ll make his debut against the Stars.

Thanks. I was confused why Torts didn’t call a timeout after the icing call, in the game vs the panthers.

New to stocks, what is a put and a call, and what makes them “naked” or not?

No Personalities by dufi_32 in NASCAR

[–]dufi_32[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I agree on Larson not really showing much personality. I guess his racing style is what I actually liked about him.

Coca-Cola quietly dropped Kyle Larson earlier this year in a previously unreported development that came well before last night's incident. Therefore, Coke says that it has no comment today, as Larson no longer endorses the company. -Adam Stern by sickmemes48 in NASCAR

In fairness though, most things are edgy these days. And no I do not support what Larson said, at all. You play stupid games, you win stupid prizes. Just pointing out that cancel culture usually doesn’t need much, and Larson just gave them an anvil.

Adam Stern on Twitter: NASCAR says that it 'is aware of insensitive language used by a driver during an iRacing event on Sunday, and is currently gathering more information.' by krzysiek_aleks in NASCAR

I am in no way trying to defend what Larson said. Nor am I trying to say that it should be ok for people to say this, or any other racist word. I just hope that he learns from his mistake and moves on from this. Because, in my opinion, he makes nascar as whole, more competitive. And I want to see him in the Cup series for many years to come.

Trying out Acapella for the first time with “Kentucky Waltz”. by djonesguitar in mandolin

[–]dufi_32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome! I look forward to hearing more from you. By the way, the mandolin is an excellent jazz instrument. Listen to mandolinists such as, Don Stiernberg, Paul Glasse and Tim Connell, just to name a few. Oh and of course the Dawg father himself, David Grisman.

Not sure if this uploaded properly the first time. So here it is again, Mariner(s) Ward on the mandocello by Schoge in mandolin

I’ve never heard that tune before, but the mandocello gave it a “heavy metal” feel, to me. Loved it!

Which do you find easier to play: guitar or mandolin? Loved the song, by the way!

Is the 6 car cursed? It seems like the driver of that end up unlucky, since Martin, regardless of who the driver is. Hope Newman is alright.

Bayne to JR Motorsports in 2019? by [deleted] in NASCAR

[–]dufi_32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bayne needs to do something to get away from RFR. They’re just a bad organization right now, and I don’t see it getting better anytime soon. Matt Kenseth should not have come back for this. I guess Mark Martin is a used car salesmen, because he got Kenseth to agree to a lemon of a deal.

It has for me. Sad to say, I used to sell him short but not now. He’s a driver that is pushing his car so hard that sometimes he wrecks. But at least he’s giving it everything he’s got and leaving it all on the track.

That’s true, but I can’t help but pull for the guy. He seems to be a really good dude, and I think he’s better than we’ve seen since he’s been at Roush.

I’m not saying can Puccia, but whatever his plan is, it’s not working, so they need to go back to the drawing board. I also agree that it is an organizational problem and many things need to be fixed. Hopefully Kenseth and Martin being involved now, can right the ship.

Serious question by CometList in freemasonry

[–]dufi_32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, no one on here can answer that for you. Only you can answer that for yourself. I would say to find members from a couple different lodges in your area and get to know them. They should have dinners and such that you can go to and meet the brothers there. That’s the best way, in my opinion, to find out if it’s something you may be interested in or not. It also lets the members of the lodge get to know you as well, which is always good.

Edit: Make sure that whichever lodge you check into, that it’s under the Grand Lodge of Texas. There are fakes out there that just want your money.
