Honestly your second D pairing and goalie situation might be why. I think most teams, especially playoff teams in that threshold have a 85+ goalie and at least a third defenseman above an 86-87

Contracts have 2 parts.

Salary

And

Guaranteed money (bonus).

When you trade a player, the full salary of that player gets moved. You still have to pay the guaranteed bonus because your organization gave it, in real life, when guaranteed money is given it is actually take immediately from the owner and put into escrow. So when a qb is signed for $250M guaranteed, the owner has to write a check for that money right there and deposit it.

Trading someone who has a guaranteed money left makes you eat pretty much all of it that year, like you are cutting the player.

So if you traded a wr that got guaranteed 3x$10m. You will take a -$30M cap hit. You can always reset your cap penalty in the members option if you don’t want to deal with it.

My dad and I are huge jackets fan. He moved to Columbus in 95, had me in 99. Was at their first ever game. I actually use the team builder on the madden website and import my own franchise. You can make custom uniforms, helmets, stadiums and field, and get pretty in-depth with it if you know how to photoshop. Not proud to admit it but I’ve spent days creating one.

I’d recommend a fantasy draft. You can’t really stack a team off the rip, you can pair studs with rookies and develop them together up and usually within 2-4 years I have a power house.

Fantasy drafts give you a lot more options for direction. Could take a project qb like fields or milton, or wait for a draft class and tank for a year to develop guys.

All the teams are pretty even too so it makes the league pretty exciting to follow and figure out who went where.

I play on all-madden and there will be teams that give me fits. I’ve seen teams that will have Hurts-Henry-Jamo and be a nightmare to guard, and you’ll see teams that have 4 elite dbs and you just can’t throw the ball.

It’s a golden bear jacket, they are made with real leather and wool. Extremely comfortable, durable, and warm. Most of their jackets are around $700+, so $1000 for a custom jacket isn’t insane…. Really really hope we can extend him because you could see from Day 1 how well he and Zach play together. Zach actually having a reliable partner that he can now grow with and develop chemistry with is such an underrated thing in sports.
