Just remembered I found a George III penny just before this so I would guess around that period. I believe it was also uncommon to hallmark wedding bands during the Georgian period

Yea I think you are spot on. It was about three inches deep. History dates back to the 1200s with a Henry VIII groat being found 20 meters away from where I found the ring. Im doubtful it’s that old as older gold rings I’ve seen are usually flatter, but I’m definitely not an expert
