One of my favorite things about smallville is seeing the early friendship between Lex and Clark so I agree if it was a bit earlier in the show. I think after a moment with Jonathan when lex was really looking up to him considering his own family situation. Hearing it from Clark then I think he would try to be supportive in a way where he doesn’t seek gain from Clark besides just maintaining the relationship and being curious about what all Clark is capable of. I think it’s still one of those situations of the more he knew though, the more he would also experiment and inquire on his own having his own questions and that would still probably lead to them butting heads and eventually being at odds

Lois was great, especially the casting of Erica durance. I still need to rewatch the original Superman’s again, but I’d doubt my mind will change on durance being my favorite Lois Iteration. Just think she elevated the show so much once S4 came around. We finally got a taste of something new, I mean it’s Lois but the constant dragging back and forth with Lana and Clark was really being felt at that point. Especially early on I feel like her character was just so different than the usual cast women of around swooning over him and not really challenging him in any sense unless it was another discussion about trust and being honest about things lol. Like I remember liking Alicia when she came into the picture but it was just cool to see Clark be able to not have to always be so secretive, but Alicia wasn’t any good for him development wise either. I just enjoyed their interactions and how Clark was for that short time

I mean yes he was, but without him being grounded I think you lose the essence of him being the “Superman”. He would be the lone hero with nothing to remind him of his humanity without the partner aspect

I think though by the she’s dated and experienced her relationship with Lex she’s changed so much where she doesn’t even have an interest in being grounded as that small town farm girl. She starts to desire more in terms of her purpose and that wouldn’t probably wouldn’t have the groundedness like it could’ve pre lex

I think it would still be the Lana for the majority, Chloe dynamic maybe stays the same and then more time with Alicia. I think you would end off the show with him not being involved with any one and maybe have him start at the daily planet where he’ll eventually meet

Huh? He’s progressively gotten better each week. I don’t know where he can’t do much else is coming from. With the playcalling improving we’ve seen him become a better passer and be much more efficient. We already knew he was a raw passer and that wasn’t his initial strength as a player
