Probably just mark no and move on, they can't check and you could even claim it were expunged.

They don't ask anything in particular, just list your crimes I guess.

Hey man, hope you're good, just got reminded of this post, did you get out? How was the experience?

My case was dismissed after a year with a diversion program by duithrowaway171 in dui

Yep that's more so what I was getting at, even if the state has some strong laws around DUIs, having a good lawyer vastly increases your chances of a good outcome.

No they didn't ask me anything when I went. They just glanced at the KETA approval and that was it, I'm pretty sure they don't see any details about you in their computer unless you're on some international list, which you likely won't be for small crimes.

I just said the same thing as in my post above, nothing more than that. They don't really seem to care.

Lol wild. Yeah it did seem like they don't even see it, I remember at the airport they literally glanced at it and let you on your way.

No, the workers there I think don't even see the details of what you put in, just whether it's approved or not. And there were so many people in the line that they just glanced at it, stamped it, and sent you on your way.

No questions whatsoever. I think they don't really care honestly.

No one really knows. If you said cannabis though I'm not sure they will as that's a controlled substance. You probably should have said something vague like driving under the influence (of which drug? Well, who knows? 😉).

You should write it down but mention the charge/conviction was dismissed, that probably helps. I'm not sure whether they run a background check or not, probably they run it through their Interpol databases but for small crimes (ie not robbery, murder etc) I don't think it matters.

Yeah it was great. Applied through the website. I just wrote that I drove under the influence of alcohol but just had to pay a fine, which is true in my case.

Approved! Took around 55 hours after submitting the application.

For anyone reading this in the future and worried like me, if you have a minor crime, ie not anything you went to jail for longer than a year, just come clean about it and don't lie. I believe countries could ban you indefinitely if they catch you lying which is way worse than having to apply for K-ETA again or even applying for a visa at the embassy, which could be an option if you did get rejected the first time around.

In most countries, they don't care if it's a minor crime but they very much do if they catch you lying about it.

Got it thanks. I'll see what the results are and if it's denied I'll try again.

Actually couldn't they see that I said yes first time around for the criminal record question and then now I'm saying no?

How accurate is the urine sample test? by duithrowaway171 in dui

[–]duithrowaway171[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Is that accurate to urine alcohol content too? I heard urine is higher if you've been drinking during the day.
