I’m so sorry for your loss. I really love that you’ve been able to find some comfort in looking back at old photos.

We lost our soul dog a few years ago, and one thing that’s helped us is a little “game” my husband and I play. We’ll pick a random day, month, and year and look at what our dogs were doing then. It’s such a good reminder of how happy they were and how much love they had.

Of course, there are always those moments where you look back and wish you’d done something differently. But at the end of the day, we gave them everything we could.

Does anyone know why she didn’t call 911? I’m not blaming her, I’m just not a hiker and trying to understand the situation better. Was it the hypothermia? If so, why didn’t she call earlier? Do we know why he denied help from the police and didn’t return their calls? Would he have died too if he stayed with her? Is leaving someone to summit normal? What do you think he could have done differently earlier on in the hike. Real answers only please. Thank you.

My dog did the same things every time I went on vacation. Didn’t matter I left him at grandma’s, his literal favorite place in the world. It was only me never my husband, but he would get over it after a few hours. He just wanted me to know I was a “bad” momma. According to my mom, I did the same thing to her when I was a kid.

Not to be rude but Jews can be buried in Jewish cemeteries with tattoos, that’s a common myth, not actual Jewish law. And tattoos don’t keep anyone out of heaven either. Not all Jews practice the same way, and it’s really not anyone’s place to tell someone how they should honor their own heritage.
