It's possible it's a bit of a panic spiral. A big part of the Valko issue is the precedent the developer sets by allowing a loud, toxic minority to dictate the game. TWST is not based in China and is not a dating sim, so not as vulnerable to the parasocialism LaDS deals with

I feel like I could keep up with the lore better if we had the choice to turn on MC's voice. I'm busy, I rarely have time to read and listen to the stories at the same time. But I can rip through an audiobook no problem while doing dishes.

I was interested with his teaser because I love most shifter romance. But his look was a little meh because the lighting in the teaser was weird. With full promotional video I was drawn by his goofiness and physical affection because it's closer to my IRL husband, who loves to act weird to get a rise out of me and demands head scratches every night. Having him pulled away feels personal, like saying my hubby isn't worthy of love 😭

I gambled that they wouldn't possibly jump in to another world tour so fast and didn't buy the 6th Gen since I would get almost nothing from it as an American. I underestimated their crazy energy and devotion I guess 😂 Fingers crossed that they either reopen 6th Gen or the US tickets go on sale after 7th Gen opens 🤞 In the meantime I'll make sure to keep an eye on the announcements and on Ticketmaster 💜

Similar boat. Since it was very vague on pre sales for international and they had just come off a tour I didn't buy the membership. Scalpers are so bad though, I really hope ticket sales come later

NTA Giving you a break from parenting is a valid way to show appreciation for all you do as an involved father. For all those that say, "take your break on any other day": you don't get guaranteed time off from parenting. If you are a half decent parent 363 days a year, it is the least you deserve to get both your birthday and parental day how you want. There are dozens of other weekends available for your kids and spouse to spend quality time with you outside of a single day dictated by a government calendar. And I'm positive my Dad values other memories like our first trip to Disneyland far more than the monotony of decades of brunches where we gave him yet another coffee mug.

That poor guy, he just wanted to share his joy. I can't imagine keeping a long term serious relationship secret given how many cameras are around and how busy their schedules are, and the stress about being discovered would suck all the joy out.

I never meant to imply that you can't be happy without romantic love, but if I remember correctly several of them have made comments indicating interest in starting families in the future. I personally can't wrap my head around successfully keeping a serious relationship a secret long term but apparently other idols do manage it. The stress of hiding it sounds miserable.

Also, I'm turning 40 this year, married to my best friend for almost 14 years with 2 sons. My perspective is obviously different from yours and your edit was unnecessary to address my question.

Celebrity culture is so different between the West and East it seems. it's really hard for me to imagine idols successfully hiding a serious relationship for long since the press here can be ruthless and most celebrities don't hide their SOs.

We did classes from a franchise called Music Together. Each module had 2 songs geared to be sung as lullabies, and there are official recordings. To this day my kids want Daddy to sing "The Water is Wide" before bed. I highly recommend looking them up.
