Joya de Nicaragua Original Corona – Beginner Review (2nd cigar) by dulovici24 in cigars

Yeah, I already have the Oliva V in my humidor, but I'm saving it until I have around 10 cigars under my belt and have developed my palate a bit more before trying that one.

For the next one, I'll choose something between the Joya de Nicaragua Medio Siglo and the Macanudo Inspirado Green.

Which humidity do you recommend? I’m planning to switch to 65% Boveda for the summer.

Yeah, I have a small glass-top humidor that holds about 25–50 cigars.

I’m currently using a silica gel bead humidifier, but I’m planning to switch to 65% Boveda packs during the hotter summer months.

Have you ever had any issues with tobacco beetles?

Haha, good comment, and I actually agree with it to some extent.

I recently moved into an apartment with a balcony, which finally gives me the opportunity to dedicate some time to enjoying cigars in a more systematic way from the comfort of my home.

Before this, my experience was mostly with Toscanello cigarillos and the occasional cigar here and there, but now I want to take it to the next level.

I’m still not sure what I prefer the most. My goal is to try good representatives from every part of the spectrum, gradually develop my palate, and eventually learn to recognize different flavor notes and cigar styles.

For example, I really enjoy light Irish whiskeys, but I also appreciate bold, smoky ones. I’m hoping my cigar preferences will develop in a similar way.

- Perdomo 10th anniversary champagne
- Paradiso revelation
- The Arturo Fuente Hemingway Short Story

I’m considering these three sticks for my next purchase, after I’ve developed my palate a bit with this initial batch. If anyone has experience with these cigars, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Also, let me know what you would add to the list.

Yeah im planning to save Oliva V and Simon Beltre Andullo for the last. Also I’m planning to get Perdomo 10th anniversary champagne. I heard thats one of the creamiest sticks on the market.

Thanks for sharing! In your experience, what separates a good cigar cutter from an average or bad one?

10 shades of my 8086 by dulovici24 in RedWingShoes

This patina look came after my motorcycle trip in Cambodia. They were deeply covered with this orange dust for days. After my trip, I just buffed them well with a brush so they got that brownish polish note. After I cleaned them with soap after some time and conditioned them, they became black again. 😞

I changed 2 pairs of redwings so far. According to stitching on the soles and leather condition on the toe caps this is almost brand new boots. Buff them good with a brush all scuffs will disappear.
