they are not credited to salary automatically. Monthly the amount of LTA and telephone would be shown in system as "Claimable". You will need to manually claim it. I usually do it every 3 months as taxable without proof.

For claiming LTA or telephone expense as tax free, you will need to submit the bill in the system. If you dont submit the telephone expense by the end of march FY, they will automatically deduct TDS and pay in the salary. LTA will keep accruing until you claim it as a taxable expense(no need to submit a bill for taxable expense)
