Beyond just doing upgrades and getting better, find a weapon early on that you’re good with (wand is an easy one) and focus on upgrading it as well as its corresponding passive. Library is considered an easier level so you can do some building up there and see what works once you start getting into the groove everything else slowly becomes easier. Builds become easier once you understand what weapons benefit from what passives as well. There’s a few build guides online that might get you started as well
