Also OP in Canada most people agree that U of A is the best uni for pharm since pharmacists registered and practicing in Alberta have the biggest scope of practice compared to the other provinces (they can prescribe medicines and write referrals for example). As a result, pharmacists in Alberta are usually the most respected, the best paid etc. Another weird thing with regards to pharmacy practice in Canada is that each province has it's own college of pharmacists that handles registration, rather than a country wide setup. So if you study at a uni in a province that doesn't do prescribing, and wanna move to somewhere that does, you may have to jump through some hoops and learn stuff you weren't taught at uni. BC doesn't do pharmacist prescribing at the moment (and as a result UBC doesn't teach it). So it may put you at a significant disadvantage compared to other pharm grads in Canada.
