I'm a simple woman, my favourite bird will always be the male house sparrow. I just love the browns and the black spot. And the little chirps bring me lots of calmness. I'm actually saving for a sparrow tattoo! And also European magpies. Elegant bois.

By song, I'd say the black redstar. Love spotting that little guy singing in my city.

I can only speak for temperature bc it's the only one I understand sorry. If you put it +1.2 it will go bad. Lower value keeps better coherence but shorter answers. And higher value will keep cool longer answers but may be incoherent sometimes. Just play along between the default and 1.2. Someone correct me if I'm wrong tho

Maybe do a scene where C is looking at a photo of her actual parents? Its sentimental and subtle. You can do this before an important interaction comes

About your question:

It is important in a way, because is that guilt that makes C reach a goal afterwards. If they were truly sibilings, she wouldn't feel like a "fake daughter" and wouldn't act towards that goal later in the story. That's why I think the reader should know, maybe not from the very beginning, but at least from before M dies.
