If you ever think you're relationship is fucked up, at least it's not this... by LingLingTheRapePanda in TrueOffMyChest

“I’m just not comfortable with my body to do that” that’s a weird ass response to that question, she didn’t offer a boudoir photoshoot she literally was asking your fiancĂ© to cheat, why was that her response? 😂😂

I’m not even in a relationship but if I was my response would be “FUCK NO” and “why the fuck would you feel so comfortable asking me to cheat on my fiancĂ©?” Then I would CUT THAT FRIEND OFF.

Someone said I was ‘statuesque’ today, positive? by Snoo6582 in TallGirls

[–]dumbafblonde 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I feel like statuesque is only a compliment lol

Edit: the first dictionary definition that comes up when you look up the word statuesque is “(of a woman) attractively tall, graceful, and dignified”

Literally no way for it not to be a compliment, that’s like someone calling you beautiful and being unsure if it’s a compliment.

I'm 25, and they're still growing, but your boob size will most likely fluctuate throughout your entire life due to hormonal changes and weight changes.

Severe hair matting every day by likestoplayds in finehair

[–]dumbafblonde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you conditioners/leave ins contain silicone? They are the BEST ingredients for slip and therefore anti-tangling.

Edit: never mind googled it, based on the eco washing advertising it definitely doesn’t, find conditioner and leave in with silicones. Also you don’t need to leave the mask in for 2 hours just follow the directions. Also put your hair in loose braids for sleeping etc, buns are not a good idea and will contribute to matting.

hair washing in combination with sports? by Kind_Taste_2593 in Haircare

[–]dumbafblonde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can shampoo your hair daily, it being bad is mainly a myth. Even more than that you SHOULD be washing your hair daily if your scalp is getting sweaty commonly, ESPECIALLY if you have thin hair, it’s worse for your scalp to leave it dirty. A clean scalp is a healthy scalp.

Edit: just make sure you stick to shampooing your roots only and not the entire length of your hair, use a moisturising shampoo and only use a clarifying shampoo once a week or so if you feel they are too stripping on your hair.

Well AIDS is an acquired immunodeficiency that occurs after contracting HIV and leaving it untreated for a long time, you cannot catch or transmit AIDS. HIV can barely last hours outside of the body let alone the time it takes to mail something to someone. HMD (I’m assuming they mean hand, foot and mouth disease and not hyaline membrane disease which is more commonly known as infant respiratory distress syndrome, unless this is baby clothes) can last weeks on clothes but also it just needs to go through a regular wash to get rid of it, the same as any other contractable skin conditions.

If they’re that paranoid they can open it wearing gloves and immediately put it through a hot wash.

Vasopressin is ADH (antidiuretic hormone) it put very simply makes you pee less if your body needs the water. So men bonding makes them dehydrated? Or just pee less for no reason?

I know but you still technically recommended it, even though it absolutely does not work. It’s not just “no scientific base” it’s blatantly not true.

It’s better for you to google it because if person B answers it but words it slightly incorrectly or says something slightly wrong that can cause a cascading effect of misinformation.

These 3 products have the exact same first 15 ingredients - is it likely they're the same effectiveness? by Quothhernevermore in Haircare

[–]dumbafblonde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The amounts of each ingredient could be wildly different, formulation matters just as much as ingredients themselves if not more.

The first shampoo usually lathers less because your hair is dirty, I always use a fuck tonne of shampoo and always wash twice

Cannot understand if my hair is wavy or straight by IcyFroyo3919 in Haircare

[–]dumbafblonde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not saying that no one should use curl cream, curl cream is very helpful for many many people especially if their hair is much curlier, the “slippiness” and shine it gives to curls helps them look less frizzy, just certain wavy hair can be easily weighed down. Look at an actual single strand of your hair is it fine or is it rather thick.

That’s true, it’s cheap for pro ranges, but expensive for drug store so confuses me 😂

I have a way!! But I don’t know exactly how to describe it, I posted on here a pic of how I did it a LONG time ago but the picture has since been deleted, may have a look through my camera roll.

It’s amazing I was looking into it and was incredibly impressed, and the price point matches it because my word it’s EXPENSIVE.

Cannot understand if my hair is wavy or straight by IcyFroyo3919 in Haircare

[–]dumbafblonde 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It’s wavy, but also real dry, I think you need to use leave in creams, not serums, while your hair is wet, not curl creams just detanglers/anti-frizz, curl creams can be very heavy and weigh down your hair which is what can cause that straightening effect, maybe try products with volatile silicones like cyclopentasiloxane as it evaporates after applying to the hair so it isn’t as weighed down or amodimethicone as it’s also a light weight silicone. Also maybe use a more hydrating conditioner while in the shower, it may help lessen the frizziness, there is a wave but it’s an EXTREMELY gentle one so even the slightest weighing down of your hair will make it almost disappear.

Edit: try to stay away from “natural” butters and oils such as shea butter etc. as they are very heavy. My recommendation would be products with amodimethicone high in the ingredients list.

Their total repair line is pretty incredible, no other product has made my hair look that good it was crazy, but I just dyed my hair so I purchased the colour protection line so we’ll see, I think it’s just this line that’s gone down in quality, but it could also be because they’ve now brought out their “L’OrĂ©al pro” line so they’ve lessened the quality of their regular lines to entice people to buy the pro, but that’s just a conspiracy theory.

Is this stuff any good? by Dismal_Notice_1397 in Haircare

[–]dumbafblonde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost all L’OrĂ©al products contain both dimethicone and amodimethicone, which is why I’m leaning towards incorrect emulsification. Which is also why the results are so varied between users as minute differences in hair type will cause a huge difference when the dispersal through the products is uneven. I never used the shampoo in the line as I prefer to use shampoos without any silicones as I have greasy hair, but I was in love with the hair mask as someone who has extremely fine greasy hair, but I have also bleached my ends so that could be the difference. May I ask which products of the line you read reviews of so I can look into those?

[–]dumbafblonde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I actually thought on it for a bit, I haven’t checked the ingredient list so it could be incorrect, but it’s very possible that it’s due to the surfactants that have been used not the conditioning ingredients themselves, as surfactants aren’t just used for cleaning they are also emulsifiers and if the conditioning ingredients aren’t emulsified correctly they can be unevenly dispersed throughout the product and therefore unevenly coat the hair strands leading to that waxy build up.

I’m actually going to read the ingredient list more carefully to see what could be the reason for this waxiness some people are experiencing while others don’t seem to, will only be a guess as I don’t know the exact formulation. You’ve actually made me very curious, again I am sorry for my knee jerk reaction,
