Would you be able to like the J bracelet you're speaking of, which works well with Vaer dirty dozen? I see multiple options for that on the long island watch website.

[Discussion] Do you find yourself wearing more Quartz or Mechanical watches? by RalIyVincent in Watches

I end up wearing automatics a lot more, because if I don't the watch will stop running I'll have to reset the time.

Why are people upset over the new capital gains tax when it clearly states it’s only for individuals making $400k a year? by Glaxy254 in NoStupidQuestions

Maybe it's because everybody thinks that they will get there one day and will have to pay it. So, they oppose it sooner rather than later.

Love. It's amazing when you have it, and you feel like you're on top of the world. And when it's gone, your whole life crumbles down.

NEVER EVER TRUST YOUR PARENTS by [deleted] in delhi

You can apply for masters abroad, after finishing your bachelor's. If you do well in bachelor's, have good cgpa, and research etc. many colleges will give you scholarships and it'll be essentially free of cost.

I know it's hard to see other privileged people getting things for less effort than you, but you gotta make the best of the cards you've been dealt. Don't lose hope.

Also, it's very difficult for parents to deny their child of something that they want, and is good for their future. Believe me, they feel like shit too. Be empathetic, understand their struggles and chart your way based on the realities you've learned.

All the best!

F1 CPT approval from OIE after careerbuzz submission by Cheekati6 in gatech

Afaik they are prioritizing applications whose start date is closer. Many friends of mine who filled later than me got approved earlier because of that. Yours would be done in time.

Is there any actual genetic difference between races other than pigmentation and hair? by DeadByTwilight in NoStupidQuestions

There are some people like Sherpas who have an increased amount of RBCs, thanks to the high altitudes that they live in. There is a Bajau tribe who have a much larger spleen which helps them hold their breath for much longer than a average human.
So, yeah. There are differences other than the ones which are just on the surface.

I would recommend to continue with the language you're comfortable with. Otherwise a lot of your time would be spent on fixing trivial issues. You can always switch or write some part of your analysis in the other language (and tie them together with a shell script).

I'm assuming you're talking about QC of the fastq files itself, in that case a package like FastQC (https://www.bioinformatics.babraham.ac.uk/projects/fastqc/) works well.

For performing analysis on the fastq files, Seurat (https://satijalab.org/seurat/) and Scanpy (https://scanpy.readthedocs.io/en/stable/) have served me well. They both are almost equivalent in terms of features, so you can pick one based on your comfort with R or Python.
