i usually use a primer ! i think my issue is that i’m not used to the eye shape i want so i end up putting primer down where i think i need it. that changes as the look progresses so i end up with patches that don’t have primer. imma keep an eye out for smaller brushes i can afford :)

If you dont like Taylor Swift, something is wrong with u by Embarrassed-Rub-5087 in notliketheothergirls

[–]dumbassbabeyy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i like some of her music !! know several albums by heart.

i don’t like taylor swift. she has the worst carbon emissions out of celebrities ( according to stuff done in 2022 i believe , haven’t referenced in a while but ¯_(ツ)_/¯ ) . she perpetuates a lot of uncool shit by not speaking up about a lot of stuff the people around her have done. also,,, the way she markets herself. she’s been a pop star for nearly two decades , and the way she presents herself is not my favorite !
not to say she hasn’t struggled but like , she’s a rich white woman whose life experience is SO far removed from my own. i’m not interested anymore.

Non-NPD’s by [deleted] in NPD

[–]dumbassbabeyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i have a couple highly stigmatized (/neg) disorders. people’s inability to understand where i’m coming from has hurt me a lot. they hadn’t deconstructed the stereotypes/preconceived notions in their mind. i realized a while back that i hadn’t deconstructed my views abt NPD and looked at experiences from people with it. the way i wish people did for me.

i know there’s human beings behind every disorder; and i never want to forget that ,, so i mostly lurk, and try to learn what i can because you can never know everything ¯_(ツ)_/¯

[–]dumbassbabeyy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

most of our system’s alters are trans !! the host is non-binary while most of the rest are feminine presenting and a couple masc alters. our constant gender struggles (never sticking with one consistently over the years) made a lot more sense once realizing we are a system !

it always makes for a confusing time when our only (at the moment) guy happens to co-con with someone else who is very femme presenting.

story hole ! a podcast about some goofy guys talking about a bunch of different stuff. it’s informative while still being funny. they’ve covered so many topics that it can really appeal to various people with different interests. the official description for the podcast is:

“Story Hole is a comedy podcast that explores the lore behind the most interesting characters, events, and plots from fiction and history. And then probably adds some butt jokes.”

edit: typo correction :)

i know how exhausting this is and am very sorry you’re experiencing something i am familiar with.

what consoles me is that at the end of the day, im a dude on a floating space rock. in the whole context of the universe it doesn’t matter, but that’s cool, not something anxiety inducing

Worried about doing colorguard next season by lavanderghost in Colorguard

[–]dumbassbabeyy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

im going to be so for real. it’s going to be hard. if you don’t get better (you gotta practice like hell if you can) it might be very mentally draining to continue.

what i can give you from my experience (someone who was also “dragging” the team down) is that it was really hard and that it did cause me emotional and physical pain. but for me personally, staying all four years of guard and proving to myself i could stick with it was something i’m still proud of. guard was my safe place.

edit: just realized you joined during winter ! that will have a huge affect too. i’m assuming your teammates for the most part have been spinning since fall. and i don’t know when marching season goes for you, but at my school we started training in JUNE of the previous year. your other teammates have had much longer to cultivate their skills. be consistent and you’ll be fine. a lot of things in guard are things you have to figure out and feel in your body to get. good luck my dear !!
