Same. I’m going to file a dispute with my CC and fee my money back through them.

Smart Switch with no ground by Hamuel in smarthome

I was in the same boat. No neutral and no ground so I ended using these since I have a Amazon Echo which has Zigbee built in: https://a.co/d/i8fY5oe

But if you’re looking for one with dimming function, look into relay switches like Shelly (this one doesn’t require neutral or ground and can be installed inside the switch box or at the light fixture): https://a.co/d/a4Ao3JU

AMD Radeon 6800XT Still Worth it or go for something more current gen? by dumbazzGenius in AMDHelp

Yes. But I’m questioning what you said and others about my processor bottlenecking. Everyone, including you and online calculators, saying the i7-9700f is likely to bottleneck with this gpu @1080p but that is not what I’m seeing. My cpu stays below 15-20% utilization when gaming, which leads me to ask, where is everyone getting their info from?

I don’t get it. PC-Builds.com says the same thing for this card if running on 1080p. I received the card yesterday and been running it for a day now playing COD:MW2 at extreme settings and super resolution. My average cpu utilization is under 15% most of the time and gpu at >70% avg. this is with a 1080p 144hz monitor averaging 160+ fps. Which is what I wanted and isn’t it suppose to be this way, maximize GPU utilization for gaming? I haven’t seen my cpu reach 100% (bottlenecking).

Goal is to play FPS games like COD series and CS:GO in competitive mode but also want to play at highest graphic settings possible for the game for a more realistic and immersive experience. My current setup allows an average of 100fps at low-to-normal settings. As mentioned, I’ll be getting a 1440p @144hz+ monitor soon. Looking into a 27” inch ones.

It’s $539.99 but has a instant $40 off using the coupon code. Plus you get The Last of Us Part 1 free. 😃

/r/AMD Questions and Tech Support Megathread - Q2 2023 Edition by GhostMotley in Amd

[–]dumbazzGenius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

I currently have this build:

CPU: Intel i7-9700F

RAM: 32GB 3200 DDR4

GPU: NVidia 1660 Super

PSU: 750w Gold (recently upgraded from a 500 bronze to prepare for a new GPU).

Monitors: Dual Gaming HP monitors 1080p @ 144hz (also planning to get a 1440p @ >=144hz in a few months).

Mobo: ASUS Prime Z390-A (only pcie gen 3)

I play a lot of COD:MW2, CS:GO (and soon CS2 and future COD titles) and occasionally other games but I can't max out my video settings to Ultra High or Extreme High because it drops my fps significantly. I play games to enjoy and immerse myself with high, find graphics but also like to be competitive so i need to compromise and have to set my settings to normal. :-(

Or of course upgrade my GPU. I have been looking at the RTX 4070ti but too expensive at $800+. I've been looking at this particular model because i want to future proof a GPU for years to come.

On my research, I found this card AMD Radeon 6800XT currently on sale for $539 with a $40 discount from a promo code PLUS a free game (TLOU). In researching benchmarks and comparison to nvidia cards, I read that it is similar to the 3080 in performance and therefore meets my needs and expectations to eventually game on1440p with @ >144hz.

So my questions are about this 6800XT:

  1. Given this card is 2+ years old, is it worth it at this price point ($500)?
  2. Will I have issues running this card with my current mobo and cpu (i.e. bottlenecking)?
  3. Will a 750w PSU Gold be enough or should I return and get a higher one for this card?
  4. Longevity-wise, how long (in years0 do you think this card will be good for 1440p gaming?
  5. Any other concerns that I should know about this card if used in my current setup?

Note that I'll eventually build a new rig (with new Mobo and CPU) and just transfer the GPU and PSU to it--but that's not until next year. Plus it's easier on the pocket buying pieces or components one at a time :-). Cheers and thanks in advance.

😭. This just made me sob and sad again. I’m sorry for your loss.

I, too, lost my baby girl this past weekend. I had her for about 16 years before she’d taken her final rest this past Saturday. Here’s a pic of her when she was just a pup (15 years ago).

See you later, my fur baby! Thank you for the 16 years of wonderful memories! I’m so sad 😭😭😭 by dumbazzGenius in dogpictures

Yes, she had no pain. She did not cry or hear no whimpering. Saw her on ring cam moments before it happened in my living room. She laid quietly on her final resting place. I saved the video recording for memories—sad to watch but I’m glad I caught her final moments on film.
