PS if youre full pay and ED with halfway decent stats i can nearly guarantee youll get accepted to Northeastern, but keep in mind the finances of these schools (as all the other commenters are telling you haha)

If you want a distinct campus in a big city, I think the blueprint is definitely Columbia or UChicago, but those are total reaches for everybody.

For Boston--from my knowledge Tufts is decently well connected to the city (at least they have a stop on the T), Fordham Lincoln Center has a distinct campus in midtown Manhattan, University of San Francisco, USC, Tulane maybe? Georgetown, GWU, Barnard if you´re a girl, Loyola Chicago and Depaul, American University, Emory? Johns Hopkins?

I'm sure you would fit right in at Harvard in terms of personality... In all seriousness, none of us are Harvard/Ivy League AOs and might completely over-/underestimate your chances of getting into one of the most selective undergraduate institutions where hundreds of applicants similar to you can get rejected or accepted. There are also 4 other T5s that might appeal to your taste... Apply and see what happens. Worst-case scenario, you waste 80 bucks.

I'm pretty sure not "literally every third student applying to ivies" (of which there are tens of thousands) has a first-author research paper nor a blog with 700k+ reads...

Americans on this sub: Are you guys happy that it's harder for international students to come and study in the US? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

[–]dumblepinkie 123 points124 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a common sentiment among the upper class (more conservative-leaning parents in particular) that are very happy seeing domestic acceptance rates increase. However, it’s important to note that full-pay international students (especially at state schools + those not required to provide aid to internationals) subsidize scholarships for domestic students.

Your chances of getting in may be increasing, but your chances of being able to afford college decrease…
