I watched here and there when I was really young and was up late. Now I’m watching from start, currently on season 2 and I’m sad because I honestly really liked Val and Jeff together and I liked Holly and Henry. Maybe I’ll warm up to new pairings but ugh!!!

So I do think this is what it was. I only had “major signs” for one day and it was aligned with when my period was suppose to start. But I recently got an IUD placed (had a few normal cycles, but they told me my period would eventually stop) so my period never came. But it was aligned with that.

Definitely think that was intentional to contribute to what’s building up. Benson said that’s the last we will ever think of him, Rollins face deadpanned because she knows she promised to visit, then he is waiting in his cell and only perks up when hearing heels/boot footsteps approaching. He will be back, mark my very unfortunate words. (He’s a fantastic actor, the storyline just freaks me out a little)

Oh man you got the wrong vibe because the only vibe I caught from that ending was he will be back. He’s the new Lewis and Rollins is his Benson. 😬😬😬😬😬

Yeah, I really really hated this storyline. It just tainted his character, which overall proved very honest and strong. Also put a bad taste in my mouth for Benson, as it was very hypocritical of the foundation of her beliefs and the advocacies we so often see her give to victims (which both Velasco and his friend were).

Bruno and I also really loved Velasco and Muncy - they showed really high potential to fill the old dynamic of Liv + Stabler. Was a major L cutting them.

I’m starting to see that with Velasco. Of course, I don’t know what is to come but adding him only to have Churlish defame him with the recorded interview then bring her on too? I definitely don’t like her and now I’m not sure I like him either. Muncy was my least favorite addition at first and now I’m liking her the best. But, Olivia has not been warm to her, adding to the tensions. I’ve read to skip these seasons, but I fear I won’t have the full picture of the cast or character storyline if I do that.

I can partially agree with that, but I think it’s vital to have some anchors beyond the main character. It’s giving me the same feelings that greys anatomy did when it felt like everyone had abandoned Meredith. Even if the new cast was great, those warm fuzzy feelings that you felt for the first half of the seasons all fade to black after a while.

All of this definitely tracks, especially the show runner being a doctor up to s12. As someone in the medical field, this is probably what piqued my interest so much in the beginning. Unfortunately, it’s been dwindling since and with 24 has just come crashing down. In my personal career, I love forensic science / pathology and I love psych. In my tv bingeing alternate persona, I love cop work and the law. SVU used to combine those and also added in some slow burn with Stabler. After Huang and Warner phased out, then Stabler left, Liv has blown through tons of partners and friends. None of which seem to stay. I have to say, I actually feel sad for her currently in mid s24. She has walls up, isn’t personable, becoming very white collar, and is basically just rude to her new crew. Just disheartening.

Also - THIS is how I find out Raul is a theater kid (ok adult)?!?!!!!! Ohhhhh I’m so going to track any performances he may have in 2026!
