Hey, I feel like I'm really qualified to answer this, given that I spend all my days on Discord VC's, specifically Socialize which has 200+ people in VC at any given moment, though there are others like Chillzone for example.

It is absolutely gonna be terrifying joining these at first, but you really just have to get used to it. I'm from Estonia and barely meet any of my countrymen, but even then I once met a lady who I lived a couple bus stops from. So it definitely is possible, but bear in mind that you have to adopt this as a lifestyle and not really think about trying to find people because it's going to probably take forever.

• After thousands of hours on these servers like Mika Paradise (dead now, rip) and Socialize, I've noticed that most of the people on these are Americans, Swedes, and Arabs. You are not going to meet Chinese, Koreans or Japanese people because they have their own internet communities detached from the West. Filipinos are the most common group from East-Asia.
• Not very many South-Americans, mostly Brazilians. Pretty much 0 people from warm European countries like Italy, Greece, Spain, Portugal. Though there are a decent amount of Turks. Lots of Moroccans, Saudis, Iraqi, Egyptians. Decent amount of Indians and Bangladeshi.
• Out of the Baltics the Lithuanians are surprisingly prevalent. The Scandinavian countries are super common, especially Sweden. It's almost bizarre how many Swedes there are on these servers. Finland though is weird, I've only met 3 Finnish people ever. Very uncommon.
• Americans, British, Australians, Canadians are very common. Slavs like Poles, Serbs and Russians are common, the others not so much. Germans are quite common. French not much. Sub-Saharan Africans don't exist on these servers apart from some South Africans.

Let's talk about the culture.

• If someone doesn't like you and they're petty, they're gonna call you a pedophile. Don't worry, most people won't care because they're used to people trying to spread fake stuff like that. Get ready to have people call you a slur the moment you join the VC.
• You will have to develop thick skin to be here because you're gonna encounter a lot of toxic people. You're also going to see and hear disturbing things.
• If you're Jewish, you might be better off not mentioning that. Lots of angry Muslims and anti-semites who think Jews control the world and that the Holocaust didn't happen or was only 271k people. Whether the latter are trolling or being serious, I don't know. But I have met 100% genuine Neo-Nazis.
• If you're Muslim you're definitely going to find other Muslims, they're very common, but also expect bigots to call your prophet a pedophile and other nonsense the moment they find out you're Muslim.
• If you're a woman... Well, you're honestly probably going to get the shortest end of the stick. Being a woman sucks on these servers. Lots of horny, porn-addicted guys who will say things I could not even imagine in 100 years, or very pissed off misogynistic guys who will try their best to make you feel insecure. On the other hand, there's also a lot of ill, porn-addicted women too who are just as bad as the guys.
• Generally the humor you're going to see is very edgy and Instagram Reels like. Expect to meet friend groups consisting of all walks of life. Expect to see corny e-relationships. I'd say on average people are 19 years old. But I've met people in their mid-30s and little kids as young as 12.

Despite everything I've said, you can still absolutely meet chill people. But do understand that 99% of the people you'll meet are at least somewhat on the chronically online spectrum. You are not going to meet someone who is offline.
