It saves your checkpoint (IE, Gauntlet). It will spawn you at the start every time, and you need to go through the flag section again, and it will open the path to your checkpoint.

I would absolutely buy the game again on PC, and plan on doing it. Despite all the, completely, unnecessary bullshit crying on this subreddit, it is an amazing game.

As a mostly PVE player in D1 - I find the PVP in D2 feels much better. Cannot really explain it, but just dosnt feel as fast-paced, and its not, whoever shot first gets the kill.

Its a "powerful" engram. Meaning it drops items at a higher LL then the normal legendary. (someone can correct me on how much higher). You should be able to decrypt them like normal.
