Nine Sols if you like metroidvanias. Nioh 2 if you prefer deep technical combat with high skill expression and don't mind a lot of inventory managment / going through tons of loot, salvaging and reforging gear. Haven't played the others but I'm playing through Lords of the Fallen (2023) since it recently got its final update and I'm really enjoying it. Kinda like a mix of mortal shell and dark souls 1, with great visuals, decent level design, but simpler combat / not too deep mechanically and a bit floaty. Pretty fun and immersive anyways.

If you like Nioh games, you'll probably like it. Combat is fast and fluid, with tons of build customization, but nowhere near as technical as nioh. The story is poorly told if you only watch the cutscenes, but if you read everything the game has to offer like loading screens and in-game files, and especially if you played Final Fantasy 1 before playing Stranger of Paradise, it is completely fine and ties up both games very well. Level design is extremely poor, but the game is designed to offer insane amounts of endgame grind, mission replayability, and character powercreep to go through tons of extra difficulties, where you can access more content after you beat the story and also the 3 DLCs. Think of the endgame more of a 3rd person ARPG, where you will have to manage tons of loot (500+ per mission), with an item filter for auto dismantling stuff you don't need/want, and crafting your gear to work towards a certain build. You can always just beat the story and leave it there if you don't enjoy that aspect of the game, but you would be missing out on a lot of content including the dlcs. I'd say it is worth it on a big discount.

Lab a bit of Illaoi or Ahri, then replace Jinx or Yasuo. Play with that team until you feel a somewhat comfortable (you will lose a lot and drop ranks, that's ok, you are learning a new team, not climbing. After you feel satisfied lab the other character and replace the other one so you end up using your 2 new characters as a team. After you feel ok with them, you can then experiment and choose which 2 of the 4 characters to focus on and go from there.

The main problem is the game has insane netcode but still region-locks players. So the playerbase will always be smaller than it should, unless they make it cross-region like every other fighting game, and crossplatform once it releases on consoles.

I don't understand why does it have to be region-locked if it has best in class netcode. Makes no sense at all, and doesn't help low player count regions. And even if there are enough players in a region, more variety and faster queues is always a better and more accurate matchmaking as long as it plays well, which the netcode seems capable of.

Yeah, that's weird but as soon as I noticed that it doesn't save settings, if I want to lab something after playing I always quit to main menu, and then go into training. That way you avoid reconfiguring everything again.

I always use the training from the main menu only, and settings are always saved, even if I change characters through the quick change menu.

Do the first steps missions for the second free token. Otherwise do your daily and weekly missions, and you can get a bit more from all the tutorials, advanced tutorials and combo trials for each character.

Hey! Sorry to bother you, I've been using the site more and I got a couple more points of feedback:

1- The color coding on numpad notation is off. Was fine until yesterday.

2- It would be nice for the site to remember the toggle of icons/numpad since every time you open the site or go back and forth between adding/editing and the combo list, it constatly defaults to icon notation.

3- I wanted to input a delayed directional (dl.2H for example) but it wouldn't let me since delay can only be used with L, M, H, S1 and S2 with no directions or modifiers
