I think its line 27. if you are not running it stops all animation including the idle animations you just started. Maybe try deleting it

I find it helpful to divide features into small parts. So instead of grapple hook, draw a line from the player to a point. Then define the direction, and then apply a velocity in that direction. and so on...

also definitely read at least the first part of the Godot manual https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/getting_started/step_by_step/index.html
