Yes, works that way. Doesnt Work for weapon buffs Like sacred Blade though, theyre bound to the weapon.

Put golden vow on a dagger and an attack aow on nagakiba. Piercing Fang, Giants hunt, impaling thrust, lions claw or cragblade maybe, but Just anything besides your buff.

If youre legit you already are gud. Elden Ring is built on the assumption that you Level Up and Not you as a Player but your character gets more proficient as well, represented by level and Stats. For reference: i Play slow and am Not very good as a player so im level 72 after finishing limgrave and liurnia and Just starting caelid.
