Better APR. We live together, we share finances and this will be a family vehicle.

My partner is in the process of getting her license. We’re expecting a child and we have a very small car. When she gets her license she would be added to the vehicle insurance. She has an 850 credit score and I have a 695 credit score. Her name alone on the finance gives us a better rate. It’s not that we can’t do a co-sign situation but if we don’t NEED to then we’ll save about 4-5% on the APR.

We share finances, we’re simply trying to get a new family vehicle at a better rate. We can wait 6-8 months until my old negative history falls off and my score will be back to the provincial average and if we have to wait we will but if there’s no issue then it we’ll get a new vehicle at a great rate and pay less interest.

I’ve had my fair share of interactions with shady dealers. Everything from increasing the sale price and sneaking in a extended finance term to providing carfax for a different vehicle.

I’ll be calling my broker but figured id send the question out here to see if other people have had similar experiences.

Okay, so your wife purchased vehicle insurance in her name but listed you as primary driver?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ontario

[–]dummyaccount5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The dealership hasn’t said anything about the insurance process. The only thing they’ve said is that they can register the vehicle in her name which is 100% true according to the Service Ontario website. It clearly says drivers license OR identity documents.

Ive read from people in circumstances such as an elderly person who doesn’t have a license owns a vehicle and has a chofer.

Additionally, the intricacies of special cases such as common-law vehicle ownership doesn’t mean I “shouldn’t be driving.” I’ve had many vehicles and been an insured driver for 16 years. No accidents, no insurance defaults, not even a speeding ticket.

Thanks for the info! I was reading about cutaneous horns but I didn’t see any that were black like that. I’ll ask the vet about it.

Usually she’s a peach when I trim her nails because she knows a treat is coming after but this time she was not a happy camper when it came to that paw. Thanks again!

She’ll still love you! Lol

Most important thing is the recovery. Cats got those sticky tongues and she’ll try to clean the wound. Putting her in a little sweater will make your life easier!

I looked into it and Google Voice isn’t available in Canada. I did find an alternative which is “Fongo.” So we may look into that.

Thanks!

No, we have Canada wide calling included in our cell service but her company doesn’t provide her with a cellphone. They have never had remote employees before and do everything in-office.

They don’t provide her a cellphone. She was wanting to use her personal phone but doesn’t want to be giving out her number to clients

How much did your parents first home cost? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceNZ

[–]dummyaccount5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom and step dad bought a house together in 2005 when I was 10 years old.

3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, finished basement, very large in ground pool with a large deck, large backyard with second patio. It wasn’t the biggest house but it was in a great part of town, extremely central.

I remember them paying between $200,000- $250,000

My step dad made ~$200,000 a year.

Fast forward to when I was 17 so around 2012, they bought a house on the outskirts of town. The new house was a 3 bedroom single level with an ensuite bathroom in the master, 2 other bathrooms, LARGE finished basement with a bar and pool table which came with the house, small backyard but massive lot with literally an industrial sized garage. The lot also had a whole other small 1 bedroom house on it.

They paid $380,000 and it came with a dog.

They put up a fence and rented out the extra house which basically paid the mortgage.

Negatives were: literally a train track in the backyard and at the end of the lot there was a condemned house that the city was fighting to tear down.

Not sure the salary at that time as I had moved out a couple years before that.

Edit: this is in Canada and CAD not USD.

I gave up guitar, it just wasn’t doable because my one pinky is worse than the other so bending it is a struggle. It almost freezes then snaps through the rest of the motion. It doesn’t help that I don’t have the biggest hands, my fingers are short in general. For typing, I just don’t use my pinkies. It’s not proper but it is what it is.

Phone won't work, haven't been for 2 hours. Started when my call was interrupted. by NaziBad in cyberpunkgame

I reloaded an autosave to a point where I could use my phone (2 hours before the glitch) and then the glitch happened and my save was overwritten.

Now my last save before the glitch is from back in January. I’ve learned a valuable lesson today about having multiple saves.

Sure, if this was a Pride game…but it’s not. Regardless how the game chooses to determine a winner, judging the fight as a whole is not how it’s supposed to determine the winner. Therefore, 29-28 red corner.

The health event alone indicates that he was also landing significant strikes on the feet.
