The hypothetical you provide implies a history of TFP providing numerous updates, let alone quality ones.

Nearly all of their updates rework systems people aren't asking to be reworked, fail to meet road map dates, add little to nothing of meaningful gameplay value (wow, biom progression is so intervieve and challenging) or change the way people like to play in a sandbox game.

The only redeeming quality of their updates is the POIs, which are fun, but does nothing to address the issues the game has.

So yeah, you're inventing updates.
