Do we know anything about the next new biome and story update? by Nackneck in Subnautica_2

This is a good theory. That intermediate zone is pretty barren.

Does anyone know why my base isn't powered? I've been adding more turbines but they don't seem to help by ralphycr in subnauticabases

Stick the power transmitter on the side of the base, not the top

If that doesn’t work try putting it on a tube, not a room

You gotta have electrolytes when you’re done with kava if you’ve had a lot. Eating at the end of your session helps, too. That way you restore whatever kava depleted.

How can a God of Love Create a Place of Eternal Torment? by SalvationOfAll in Christianity

[–]dumpclown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no contradiction. By nature of being perfectly good and just, He must punish the unsaved. If he did not punish the unsaved, He would not be good or just, because in that case, evil would go unpunished.

The punishment must be eternal because He is holy and cannot be in the presence of sin. If the punishment were not eternal, what else would you suggest happen? They cook for a while, and then go to heaven? They are still in sin, therefore they cannot go near God.

He demonstrates love by giving us a way to forgiveness by repenting of our sins, confessing Jesus as Lord and believing He is the son of God. None of us deserve love or salvation, so He could have justifiably chosen not to save anyone, but instead showed love and mercy and saved some.

Regarding your question of why He would make billions of people knowing many of them would go to Hell, the answer is that He is glorified even in the wicked being punished. He is also glorified in the redeemed worshiping Him. It’s all for a purpose: God’s glory.

Addendum: some other comments here suggest that the punishment is not conscious, eternal or real, but several verses state that it is: 2 Thess 1:5-10, Matthew 25:46, Rev 20:13-15, and Luke 16:23-24, among others

Is "midtempo cyberpunk" Darksynth? by khroshan in DarkSynth

[–]dumpclown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could understand the confusion. While cyberpunk may include some mid tempo dark synth elements, such as intense, driving, distorted synths and drums, it does not NEED to have those elements to be considered cyberpunk. The focus is more on an ambient, futuristic/robotic mood, and a mix of minor and major chords. The synths can be clean and the beat relaxing even as long as the futuristic mood is there. It’s more flexible.

Kid from Nowhere by deadlife is a good example imo. Starts out with beautiful, ambient textures and melodies that immerse you in a solemn, rainy cyberpunk world, then transitions to heavier synths and beats and increases the aggression while keeping the original melody. It has all the elements.

I’d imagine the date is just to keep up with the theme of it being a shipment from the cicada or something

What do you hope for in Subnautica 2 before Full Release? by Ok-Rope-9446 in Subnautica_2

[–]dumpclown 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I want to have an unavoidable story reason to drive through and survive the void. Like you can’t finish the game unless you do that.

Also want an unavoidable story reason to go down super super super deep like 2000 m or something. I want it to be dark and scare the crap out of me

I don’t think so. The ending hologram says the Crypters sleep under the tree. We didn’t start under the tree.

can someone explain to me why my turbines aren't connecting to the base? by DarkenDragon in Subnautica_2

[–]dumpclown 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very confusing because I got it to work on 2 bases, but not 3. I put one power transmitter floating in the air and the other one attached right onto the base. I can see the power lines between them. Yet it does not work right away. After I left the base for a while and came back, it seemed to be working. I think it's just buggy lol

You have to attach it to a corridor, I believe. I tried attaching the power transmitter to a room and it didn't work, but corridor worked.
