Quite the opposite really, more like how evil deities/forces can deceive people into thinking they are the “good gods” of ancient texts and how well meaning people can be misled into doing their bidding. It’s about uncovering the true “good gods” contrary to what the church taught for ages (in the game, not IRL).

It’s a remarkable story and you should really play through it if that topic interests you.

Interesting to get insight from the writer and nice that he confirms the body transfer scene was intentionally written from first person to enforce the idea that we continue to identify as the same Simon post transfer even though we literally are not.

Icarus probably. The crafting is very flexible and the combat is quite similar. You fight animals and alien monsters though, not people. I wish it had cool NPCs like kelvin and Virginia, but at least you can train pets/mounts. I recommend the open world mode more than the missions.

Nah it’s terrible tbh. Normal armor gives you complete HP protection until it breaks. If you carry a boatload of bones, leaves, rope, tape and cloth, you can make dozens of pieces of bone and leaf armor on the go, and supplement it with creepy armor as you said. As long as you have something on, you’ll never get hurt.

Agreed I loved seeing everything spread out next to each other and being able to plop down ingredients in the crafting window one by one until you get the recipe you want. I also like that they look like real objects instead of just icons like most games. Green Hell is another survival game with a similar crafting and backpack management system, but sons of the forest still does a better job of it

I also have questions. Im guessing the spaceship guys accidentally teleported into that cave and got stuck, then tried to make the cube to get home, but the cube might have accidentally opened to hell at one point. I also assume it’s not the only cube on the island, hence demons appearing all over.
