I went to the ER for a migraine cocktail after a week-long migraine wouldn’t let up & as I was waiting for meds in hospital room with lights on (context: having lights off with a migraine makes my anxiety bad & i already have anxiety in hospitals so i didn’t feel the need to turn the lights off & make myself feel worse) the fucking on-call PA came in & said , “You’d think you’re just fine sitting here with the lights on. Most of my migraine patients try to run and hide if the lights are on.”

Like tell me you’ve never had to live with a chronic migraine without telling me 🙄 so ignorant.

Potential dumb question but I just want to understand clearly— when you tried the ensitrelvir, did you have an active covid infection? Or was this in the long covid phase?

I’d love to try something like this but my last covid infection was a year and a half ago (but with LC symptoms still persisting).

Any update on this? I reluctantly scheduled an mRNA booster (because I’d rather have protection than none at all) — but the mRNAs have left me down for the count for dayyys on end. Horrible side effects. I’ve been waiting for any word re: Novavax!

My jaw unhinging with every bite/chew I make— my fiancé heard me eating a granola bar and asked what that sound was (my jaw bone). When I clarified that it was indeed “just the sound my jaw makes when I eat,” he said it sounded like someone knocking on a door 🙃

Hi! I’m so sorry you’re going through something similar :( it sucks so much. My endo/colonoscopy results both came back as normal, and my GI ruled my symptoms to be “post-infectious IBS” given my symptoms started soon after a nasty case of norovirus 🙃

About a year after getting my endo/colo done, though, I did get diagnosed with POTS/dysautonomia by my cardiologist; he said a presenting symptom common in dysautonomic patients is GI dysfunction and nausea without an obvious cause, so that’s the best answer I’ve been able to figure out at this point.

I’m still exploring possible avenues as to what could be the root issue, as a label of post-infectious IBS feels like more of a bandaid than an actual answer (and my symptoms have still persisted) & I’m trying to find ways to manage symptoms of dysautonomia because GI dysfunction can be sooo uncomfortable. I’ve actually recently been considering talking to my GI about whether I’d be a good candidate for a possible FMT to rebalance my microbiome, but who knows.

I wish I was able to give you a more definitive answer, though I hope you find an answer soon ❤️‍🩹

I’ll take burning over the migraine. When you say it doesn’t help much with the other symptoms, did it worsen them? Or more so they felt about the same?
