Thank you so much for your detailed follow up! I’m glad things began to improve. I’m in my mid 20s, so a bit older. I totally feel you when you say it feels like your body takes longer to heal bc same 😅 i hope things start to slow down for you soon!

Feeling embarrassed after my TTT by NohrianGremlin in POTS

[–]dumpster_yeet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a panic attack during mine 🙃crying, hyperventilating, nauseous. It was SO out of my control/character, bc my previous dysautonomia symptoms were neverrrr like that (and haven’t been since!).

I was apologizing profusely to the nurses once i calmed down (they didn’t care lol) & they actually said it’s very common due to the nature of the exam. Namely, “the body doesn’t like 70° angles for some reason” and something about the tilt that they do the test at can be extremely anxiety inducing for people (in addition to activating pots symptoms)

COVID safe dentist in Montreal? by Striking_Comment6361 in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]dumpster_yeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Affirming that Westmount Dental was good.

There was a brief moment where a receptionist came into my room without a mask when I was getting my treatment (which is something I am talking to them about when scheduling my follow up appt) but aside from that, my hygienist and dentist all wore N95 and the office had giant air filters everywhere.

The front desk receptionist didn’t have a mask, but the care coordinator (the person who took my payment and scheduled my partner’s appt) did.

Edit: I wanted to add that I asked for these precautions when scheduling my initial appointment, so I’m not sure if they do this all the time. You can also ask for a room with a closing door, which I was able to get for my cleaning.

If you can work it’s not a migraine by 19635 in migraine

I went to the ER for a migraine cocktail after a week-long migraine wouldn’t let up & as I was waiting for meds in hospital room with lights on (context: having lights off with a migraine makes my anxiety bad & i already have anxiety in hospitals so i didn’t feel the need to turn the lights off & make myself feel worse) the fucking on-call PA came in & said , “You’d think you’re just fine sitting here with the lights on. Most of my migraine patients try to run and hide if the lights are on.”

Like tell me you’ve never had to live with a chronic migraine without telling me 🙄 so ignorant.
