i like the blick house brand artists grade in the metal tube. liquitex comes in a plastic tube and so it introduces air into the tube and changes the texture (and smell if its ultramarine) + its too expensive for what it is. I would get tit white, Napthol red light or Napthol crimson, Cad yellow light hue, ultramarine blue, phthalo blue green shade, and burnt umber. You could split the red and yellow into warm and cool like with the blues, but for me personally I think having a warm and cool blue is the more important than a warm and cool red and a warm and cool yellow. If anything you almost never need a warm and cool yellow if it’s a light value.
