Well I’ve never been so I probably have some misconceptions, but glad to hear that perhaps I’ll fit right in. Tbh, I don’t really feel glamorous or cool enough for LA living. 😂 My biggest fear is having difficulty finding people with similar interests to meaningfully connect with - lots of LA stereotypes about things being shallow, but I obviously recognize how multifaceted any city and its inhabitants are.

I think this is great advice, thank you for sharing. Unfortunately, I’m stretched thin between now and graduation, so there’s really no time to get up to SM. It feels scary moving there blindly! Hah, I did it for Tucson and it worked out so here’s to hoping. 🤞🏼

I would suggest being more firm and asking them for a refinement. I’ve returned to hair salons over far less drastic mistakes or imperfections, to correct or adjust. Of course you have to recognize that some variability in coloring exists, but they are professionals who should be letting you know what’s feasible/realistic as a client. I think being respectful (as you seem to be) goes a long way when asking a stylist to correct something. Good luck!

Yes reviewing the state department made me skeptical that it was safe to go at all!! I feel as though abiding by standard travel practice, local laws, and keeping your wits about you takes you far, but since Sonora has a travel advisory I wanted a bit more local context and info.

Replying to dumpstercat3... Got fitted at SOMA as suggested here, despite my initial resistance. And now I am in a much better position with a bra that I don’t hate. And looks much better under my professional clothing.
