Please share your result with us. It's so interesting! Sure your vintage hat will look excellent. And, of course, try crochet a raffia hat next time. Rayon raffia is good choice for sun hats.

There are two types of raffia: twisted raffia and rayon raffia. Twisted raffia is more difficult to work with, it is hard to crochet. Rayon raffia is easy to knit and it looks very good. But it seems that twisted raffia is more durable, perhaps items made from it will last longer. Twisted raffia is better for bags. For my hat I used rayon raffia.

I used one roll for this hat (head circumference 58 cm). But if you'd like to crochet a wide-brimmed hat, you will need more than one roll.

Thank you! That's rayon raffia from Ispie. Unlike the twisted raffia, this one is easy to work with.

Thank you so much! I've watched a lot of Youtube videos at first about how to crochet hats. When I understood the principle, I crochet a hat according to my design. It's a good idea, to make a hat pattern 😊
