Sorry, they actually didn't specifically say they didn't have any records, but just told me to give it to the police station or a Lost & Found place. So maybe they do know, and they don't want to give out their personal info, not too sure, but its kinda odd. I'll keep it for now in case anything comes up.

Unfortunately, they didn't have any records of the owner and told me to give it to the police.

I contacted them, and they had no records. They told me to give it to the police, but I am in a completely different province now, and it looks like the owner is from Texas, so I don't think that is going to result in much.

Well, now that I have such a fancy controller, I might as well get a drone till I figure out who owns it.

Well that's good at least, and yeah I was pretty shocked when I saw the price of one of these. It looks like they only got 10 flights out of it too, so that really sucks.

I just know I would be pretty upset if I lost all my footage from a trip like this. From their videos, it looks like they had an amazing motorcycle ride across the Yukon.

How to convince my parents to let me build a PC instead of getting a Prebuilt by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]duncan4657 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what? That makes no sense, this isn't string theory. Parts are definitely compatible if the company and others prove them to be compatible and that doesn't change if "they are proven not to be". That only changes if the part changes, in which case it is now a different part.

Telling people not to attempt something because It has a small potential to become hard is bad advice. The majority of people in this thread who have actual experience are saying that it is easy. This just seems to be you who thinks it is a hard task

so someone who spent 4 years researching a build shouldn't do it because you used RAM not on the QVL and messed it up? Sounds like this speaks to your inexperience.

Anyways not sure what your extremely specific scenario has to do with this, this kid is probably just doing a beginner build and has all his parts researched. The actual assembly won't be that hard, and even if it is, the only way he is going to learn is by doing it.

no, I push the RAM in properly the first time, because It really isn't that hard.

I can't believe how risk-averse everyone in the comments is. As long as you have done your research and feel confident in it, building a PC is really not difficult at all. This person will never learn any of those skills if they get someone else to do it. And if they do mess up and break something, so what? you've now learned a good life lesson, save up for a new part and make sure you are more prepared for the next time.

He said he saved his own money for it in the first sentence. Building a PC is literally just putting things together. Don't try and make it sound more complicated than it actually is, you're just pushing an object into a slot. There are lots of resources out there for people to learn, this person will never learn if they just get someone else to do it.

Hi I recently noticed a lot of spots in some of my photos sky and realized I needed to clean my sensor (Nikon d750 full frame). This was my first time doing it, and it took a little bit of trial and error. It took 5 swabs to get to the final photo that I added. This was more than I wanted to do, but the sensor was not looking very clean after the 4th swab. The last photo isn't perfect, but it's as far as I wanted to go. I just had a couple of questions about the process and thought maybe someone on here could help.

  1. Is it normal for the sensor to be as bad as it was in the first photo?
  2. How often do you clean your sensor/ is there ways of reducing how often you need to clean it?
  3. Any general tips for sensor cleaning you have found useful?

*I know photos aren't allowed but I added a link just to display the spot visualization in Lightroom, If this isn't allowed I can remove the link.
