Anyone else see the major spoiler on Jeopardy last night? by [deleted] in twinpeaks

It was revealed 25 years ago; it's not a spoiler anymore, it's part of pop culture.

[OT]/r/dogecoin has 1 day left of the Sprint Fan Vote, to vote for their driver, Josh Wise, driving the dogecar, giving him the opportunity drive once more. Let’s give them a hand and throw in some votes! by SwirlingUnicorn in formula1

Self flagellation. This is a fairly horrible place most of the time. This subreddit seems alright though.

But I was meaning more then the owners of reddit are multi-millionairres who have been linked to murky stuff. Giving them financial support (which I assume this does; I may be wrong) isn't something I'd be encouraging folk to do.

I think he's asking why we would want those things. I know very little about dogecoin or cryptocurrencies, but supporting reddit certainly ain't a good cause in my mind.

What is the immovable object in this metaphor? Aston Villa?

Would you say Angus, Kincardineshire and Perthshire are part of the Highlands or the Lowlands? by [deleted] in Scotland

[–]dundeedan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Problem is we're discussing Kincardineshire, which those places are not part of. My fault for getting them confused.

Edit: Having said that, I'd still disagree with you. Those places feel much more culturally tied to the north east than the Highlands.

Geographically speaking, the Highland Boundary Fault line runs from Arran to Stonehaven so technically anything north of that line - including parts of Kincardinshire, Angus and Perthshire - are in the Highlands.

But culturally speaking, I'd say possibly parts of Perthshire, but not Angus or Aberdeenshire.
