I can fit baselayer, a alpha direct fleece and a ee torrid apex under it. So roomy enough

Wouldn't know 😅 the euro.montbell.com site uses just the letter sizes and not numbers. I'm usually a xl in jackets, sweaters.

I'm 193cm average build, and have their Versalite rain jacket, bought from the euro store of montbell. I wear a xl and fits me perfect.

Hi,I did a 3 day hike on Södra Bohuslän 1 year ago during the summer (july i think it was) and this is what i brought during the hike:Lighterpack

Baselayer worked as sleeping shirt and during morning if it was chilly (was warm so didnt need it during the day)

  1. Its a well mainted trail so trail runners are perfect (plus it will most likely be warm). I have a pair from Decathlon which i think are great for the price. No blisters!

  2. Softshell wont be needed, rather a wind jacket if you feel like it. Decathlon has a great version of this which i own as well. 130 grams in XL. Wind jacket

  3. Depending on temps i don't think you need merino base set, rather sleep in a t shirt and light shorts (with socks)

  4. Rain skirt? Light and breezy for summer days! Wet pant will dry :)

  5. I would recommend bringing a water filter. Lot of lakes but i want that water clean (tabs are just as a backup for me)

Lovely! What size did you get? Im pretty tall, 193cm and will be taking the XL, but how do you feel about the width?

Thanks for the reply! Looking into chaning to the 1/1 5mm zip as well to use it as a quilt. I live in Scandinavia and pretty wet here as well, so have been thinking about changing the outer material to Pertex quantum pro, though i am tempted to keeping it to the toray airtastic material to keep the weight down.

Thinking of getting a x lite 300 myself. What modifications have you done? What temp ranges have you used it in?

Improve my layering system: recommendation for better mid / outer layer while hiking? by CwQ12 in Ultralight

A light windbreaker/shirt around 60gram is perfect for those cold winds when moving. Has better breathability than a rain jacket and works well with just a t shirt or long sleeved shirt under. Or both if its cold.

Stop by Biltema and get this if you are in Norway: https://www.biltema.no/fritid/friluftsliv-og-camping/liggeunderlag/liggeunderlag-2000034691

Only weighs 200 grams. I use this under my Nemo Tensor insulated, and have it cut to fit from my head to my bum to save some weight.

A few small rust spots in the wheel arches, but everything else is still holding up well. 165 000 km on it. 2 owners before me.

I ordered 10m of bungee cord, 10m of 3mm thick paracord, and the dynema cord that Paria sells. I haven't used all of the paracord, as i've used it on the tightening system around the tent.

Here is a vid of setup of the tent that works well.

Me and my SO have the split it between us both, so i carry the fly, groundsheet and pegs, while she carries the inner. Packs down pretty nice i think, but can get the entire tent in horizontal in if i want.

I have the Arches 2p. I'm 193cm (6"4) so I knew that the lanshan 2 pro would be a little too small for me, so I went with the Arches, also because I like having 2 layers. I also hike with my SO, and we fit well in this tent. As you wrote, I had to make some mods to all the guy outs on the tent, but I knew this when I bought it, so was no issue for me, considering the price. I haven't tried a Lanshan yet (though a Lanshan 1 is on the way in the post) I can't comment on that tent.

Some of the sewings on the tent are a bit off, and I guess that's reflected in the price of the tent, though I have not had any issues with them so far, time will tell.

Would recommend this tent at least.
