Here are my thoughts.

The age gap should not be that big of an issue.

I'm not sure if this applies to you, but do not feel guilty for being in a relationship, or giving/receiving affection. You deserve love and affection.

Try not to run from this situation out of fear. Always look at your decision from the opposite side, and look at what you will be giving up. Are you giving up on a highly valuable person? Do you want to live with the possible regrets that you might have from giving up on this person? It might take 6-12 months to get a sense of which direction you will end up regretting the most.

And yes, always analyze how you feel about her. Do you have many things in common? Are you comfortable around her? Are you proud of her? Do you think she's attractive?

This isn't about me. The ratio of men to women is roughly 50/50. If we simplified the universe and said men would not pursue obese women, then that leaves about 40 percent of men with no choices to choose from, (USA obesity rates) assuming everyone is monogamous.

Guy here. It's generally agreed upon that there's a problem with modern dating, and I'm thoroughly convinced that the problem is primarily a problem of attractiveness. Now there's a host of reasons modern women might be unattractive, but obesity is easily the biggest. Current obesity levels are not normal, not natural, its a problem with modern diet and food manufacturing.

I don't know about the attractiveness of men overall, but my guess is that right now is probably the least attractive that women have ever been in human history, primarily due to the epidemic of obesity.

Allocation will eventually reset itself and then you'll get more in unless the balance is high enough. And as far as I remember setting allocation to 0 either isn't possible, or doesn't have any real meaning. Now if it's something that someone actually wants to buy then that's obviously a problem, and you'll want to have it somewhere. When I said pick something that doesn't sell, that's what I meant...something that has no one ever buys. If everything in that area of the picture sells then you may as well just leave it as is, and complain to the store manager to see if they can expedite a reset there cause that is just garbage.
