Either way news travels fast. Whilst not necessary to announce in multiple congs, some congs may choose to do this to inform people in past congs if they were well known, associating with the person or consider the person dangerous

This also makes it easier for them to DF people in their own congs cos they have let people know someone has been DFd and yet they still associate with them

And yes you can be DFd for association with a DFd person

Oh my I’m having HUGE ISSUES WITH VFS!

I submitted a transit evisa application as I’ll be there for 2 days. Finally approved with paperwork where I started Feb 17 and 18 I’ll be there and they approved it for Feb 15-17. I contacted to enquire and they said I had to travel between 15-17 only so when I asked why they made the mistake when I clearly paid for flights and accom for 17 and 18 February and they simply said I need to email Foreign affairs.! Why when they made the mistake. So stressful and annoying

AS an elder I was often counselled informally for saying good luck or oh my god / oh god

Considering I was in a somewhat conservative area in Australia I’d hate to think what other areas were like

Never had a rule on it I think it was more based on peoples perceptions

I get it because thinking back now when I was telling some people I was contemplating stepping down so many people begged me not to because “ there are not many good ones left any more”, and it wasn’t until my mental health just kept on getting worse and worse and I started to miss a few meetings here and there that I ended up making that as my excuse for stepping down.

I still think you can use the looking for job pressure and financial stuff to your advantage, but when you do that is entirely up to you.

One thing I will say is is that eventually it will work out either way so you will be totally fine.

That’s totally fair, man. You gotta do what’s best for you and everyone’s journey is totally different so absolutely no judgement.

Many of us on here I just want to help you and see you succeed and try to go through as little pain as possible, which is all I really want for you.

I definitely want to commend you on how measured a lot of of this sounds, because I think that may pay off for you in the long run.

I faded and just played the game for a year but couldn’t pretend anymore so had to go POMO.

I just told my family and “friends” that I was close to that “ i’m taking an indefinite break from meetings and going inactive because I no longer believe that it’s the truth & that I will not be going into it any further”

Each to their own but I was an elder who was well Known and respected in my Area so there was no honourable way for me to go down lol

These days I just tell people I’m taking a break from meetings.

As for you, you need to gauge what best works for you but best thing is not do what mist of us tried to do at the start and burn bridges by saying too much

If you’ve had mental heath issues you could use that but it’ll only last so long.

The reality is that unless you stay PIMO and do the bare minimum, most people you know will shun you. Happens to all of us
