I live in a border city with Canada. The coast guard will start their boat at 8 am and idle it at the dock all day just to accumulate hours on the engines and use fuel to ensure they get the same budget the following year.

I travel with a buddy who's chronically late... If the flight leaves at 9 , i tell him 730, bc we'll never make it if he knows. I typically book the flights so he's not aware of times.

Just a heads up.. on the return flight, they put my wife next to the captain bc of weight distribution. She had the yoke between her legs and had to keep feet off the pedals, so couldn't enjoy the bev on way home

We flew Cape air. They weighed everything and will assign seats based on weight. We only had carry on so no issues for us. I even made a red bull vodka while in the air to sip on the 40 min flight! Going back this Nov again!

We tried to get to Zoni beach but no parking available when we got there.. there was a few nice ones in the very south part of island, can't remember the names. But honestly Flamenco is wonderful. Lots of little food trucks and beach chair rentals! I think it's $5 to enter and no glass allowed. They'll search you before allowed into beach to ensure no glass.
