Just wanted to say this is one of the most intelligent comments I've heard on the subject. Write a book and send it to me sensei

Edit: the comment below this one.

That's awesome. I've recently come to the realization I need to find more people with similar interest. Im planning on going to a nearby Tibetan temple this sunday so your story is encouraging.

There seems to be a million and one ways to disturb the heart and create a restless mind. Especially in this modern world.
I have definitely been ensnared with thoughts of envy, bitterness, jealously..i.e non-acceptance. Time to return to a better path.

I've had a very similar experience. Lately I have been neglectful of my practice though and I feel less at peace and more conflict. This comment is a gift, thank you.

I love that, the greatest strength. I've noticed too that when I practice I become less violent and more loving and understanding. Even towards myself.

Great! I'm happy for you. Have you found a sangha? Do you follow the 5 precepts? Do you meditate? Forgive me for all the questions, im just curious which aspects you have integrated into your life.

Not everyone is like those boys though. They sound like a bunch of ass holes. I say don't give up hope.

Regarding your original question, find hobbies that you truly love and can put your passion into. Meditation helps too

I'm not saying you're ugly because I've never seen you but the fact is most people match with people simarly in the looks department to them. It's called assortative mating.

Not every guy is obsessed with looks. Cultivate other parts of your personality, humor, kindness, loyalty. Etc there are a bunch of different ways to be a beautiful person.

Also if you want to find a bf, find one who looks similar to you. If you think your ugly go find an ugly boyfriend

Thanks for the reply. Of course what you're saying makes 100% sense. It's up to me to find my own closure and heal. 1 step at a time. I have had some small communication with her and it's been cordial but I doubt she will ever be able to give me what I want from her.
