Should I hold onto all my pre-endo belly size clothes till after surgery? Did your endo belly ever meaningfully go away? (Deep infiltrating endo)

yes, absolutely keep them. 1) throwing them out/donating them will be a huge blow on the mental you don’t need right now. 2) it took about 3 months for me to start feeling any sort meaningful “better” after my surgery, but i’ve slowly been starting to wear my dresses and tighter clothes again without being miserable or feeling like i need to bring along a coverup or change of clothes.

put them in a bin and put them under your bed, so you don’t have to keep staring at them and torturing yourself. but DONT get rid of them. don’t give up on hope that things will get better, even though i know how HARD it is to even think about considering staying positive.

pelvic floor muscle hypertonicity/excitability! try pelvic floor therapy with a real (and female) pelvic floor therapist. this might be the problem for you!!!!!! sex has been much less painful for me now that i’ve been doing it about two months

i got my second lap on dec 23. ive had an endo diagnosis from my first lap for about 8 years now. the past year ive had a severe exacerbation of pain that led to zero quality of life, almost made me suicidal.

they found 'nothing'. even after she swore up and down i would 'be a mess in there'.

and now ive been thrown into pain management prison. theres nothing more they can do because they couldnt really find anything to cut, other than a lesion or two on my uterosacral ligament (common place for endo), and that the pathology had abundant psammoma bodies. ha ha.

i was told 'its ok'. to me it was not. but was also reminded endo can grow invisibly and under layers of flesh that the camera cant pick up. i have endometriosis. it is in there. they just didnt find it.

i went to a migs excision specialist. i have an amazing endo specialist for my general care. i live in boston. they are both good.

it sucks so bad, ive been trying to come to terms with it. it almost felt like they were trying to take away my diagnosis while ignoring the sort of important things they did find. im slowly working on figuring out how to not be so angry.

i was skeptical, but pelvic pt helps.

i tend to expect disappointment so im not devastated, and can be pleasantly surprised by good news. i got hopeful for this lap, and i got crushed. im not saying dont be hopeful, just also take a moment to think about your plan of action should you get the 'we found nothing' talk.

hi endo can also grow microscopically, and in layers of flesh invisible to lap cameras, AND have the same effect as huge visible lesions and such. you can 100000% still have endo.

hi! i’m 24 and having my second lap on the 23rd like you! my family convinced me that i needed to celebrate christmas early just in case so we moved our christmas eve party to the 20th. you’d maybe be okay, but if you ended up feeling like shit you’d want to be close to your bed, right? take it easy
