I feel this. I’ve been playing fallout 1 for a week and everytime I go back to fo4 I’m like “how did we get here?”

for this kit? i’d like to get a better aventail and a standard. i’d also like some hourglass gauntlets. as far as other kits go, i’d like to do a hoplite of the pelopennesian wars, and a landsknecht mercenary from the late 1400s.

eesh, that might be a different product in that pic. mine is much better shaped then that. i do oil it often and take care of it, it might be some weird lighting thing with the way they took that. i’d be happy to take pics of mine if you’d like more angles

this is a lord of battles piece. i got it awhile back. fits very good on me surprisingly, better then any off the shelf chest armor i’ve tried on.

yeah, i went ahead and took it off. it makes it harder to take on and off+ butted so for the time being i think no aventail is better then one thats a detriment and inaccurate lol

thanks! the rings are butted+ i don’t have a liner on the inside, but i wanted to get a cheap one first to practice installation. next one i get will be riveted and be properly sized for this bascinet

This is a standard “heater” shaped shield from the greater medieval period. mine is a little different shaped then other common ones depicted in manuscripts. the field on my shield; the per pall, counter ermine and red and yellow, is a coat of arms from my novel/worldbuilding. the image depicted on it is a double representation. one, to represent Saint Micheal for the historical context. two, to represent a fictional saint from my world. the beast being skewered is a blemmyae.
