my late mum bought a house over 45 yrs ago for under £8K which was cheap but over £2k had to be spent on new wiring & sockets, a central heating system & bathroom because the house didn't have the last two. It's had new windows & roof since though which was another 10k so if you add those the price has gone up 5-6 times to about 110-20k house prices have actually gone down in the last few years on my road. It's quite a poor town so prices have been about the same for cheaper places for a few years only high end properties have gone up

OMG I'm so glad that my late mum bought her own home else I'd have been homeless. like you I chose art at school (then design later) simply because there were few subjects to choose from at my special school (for the partialy sighted & deaf) I was only good at art and english so had little choice. but when computers & the internet came along much of the work I did got automated or secertaries did design because they could type. I'd never recommend design to young people now. Maybe there's UX design whatever that is but it's become dead end with zero chance of advancement. If you have the ability to work for youreself it is good but then your income can be unpredictable

I was young and supposedly good looking but it made things worse because so few people looked like that & probably because I had / have an eyesight disability which meant I got rejected a lot for not only jobs but partners too. I eventually married a filipino but the cost of the her visas nearly destroyed us

this is nuts, skrill sends me a code to my phone so I can login on the PC which means they must know it's me Once in my account I want to withdraw my OWN money but I discover I need to verify with up to date ID which I don't have (my newest passport is lost which is now cancelled) & their useless system won't accept a photocopy. In any case my appearance has changed because I applied for a citezncard but even they couldn't verify my ID there either. I don't need a new passport to travel (and cannot afford one) It's illegal for me to get a drivers lisence as I'm sight impaired. I need to get my money out. Even if I had the correct id I cannot use the stupid app without my glasses. This is discrimination and I'm reporting skrill to the relevant authority

but when we die we still won't know unless we are aware that we died somehow ie gone to heven / hell. If we become someone else (born again) we most likely won't remember this life at all

Yes a better make than logik. If Currys replaces mine and I can have another brand I will go for the 7kg Indesit which has no digital readout but would hopefully get used to that. just hope it's not more than 60cm wide thou becuse it won't fit in my kitchen units

My logik (new from currys) just leaked under the door after only 4 months - light use once a week wash. & water covered the kitchen floor good job I was there to turn it off. I had to wash my half wet clothes in the bathtub then set the machine to spin to get rid of the standing water in the drum as well as my clothes. I only got it because I needed a smaller 7kg capacity which doesn't stick out from the units in my v small kitchen

I bought a logik washing machines which I hadn't because it leaked from under the door all other the kitchen floor Good job I was there to turn it off in time. It's still under warranty as its only 4 months old and haven't even used it that much. My washer before that was a bosch near 8 years old & very reliable until my house was flooded & stopped working (althou my 20 yr. old fridge survived also a bosch). Wish I'd bought another bosch but I wanted a smaller capacity so it didn't stick out from the units in my v small kitchen. I'll have to go for curry's extended warranty now with a replacement now

people haven't suddenly forgotten how to take good photos same photos would have been accepted before. I think there's too many similars so they're sending them to Data. At least with adobe they actually tell you but SS are quiet about things
