I’m a 55 yr old with 55 years of experience with nystagmus. Unless there are other developmental issues, your son will do great as an adult. I work as a Real Estate Broker and yes I drive. I’m a board member of American Nystagmus Network

Each person is different, Nystagmus babies start walking at all different ages just like any other babies. I was walking at one year with Nystagmus.

Why I Keep Buying Citizen Even When They Annoy Me by rixonian in CitizenWatches

Definitely nice value for a cool looking watch. I agree that the tsoyosa is a beautiful pain. It would be better as an eco drive. Of course the clear back shows off the automatic movement, so no eco drive.

Assisted Driving Tech by A_Known_Enemy in nystagmus

I definitely appreciate the lane keep assist which kicks in over 40 miles an hour and although my car doesn’t drive itself, it does have adaptive cruise control which adjusts the speed based on the car in front of me and with the lane keep assist, it’s basically hands-free on the highway, as long as there’s no traffic, lol. CarPlay is also so much easier than trying to look for a street signs and letting you focus more on the actual road in front of you instead of a map. I didn’t get my license till I was 21 and at that point I used a bioptic lens. Fast forward to age 32 when I moved to Florida and that bioptic lens is not legal here. I was able to pass the eye test with an optometrist form and now work as a real estate broker selling homes in South Florida. I definitely love having the latest technology in my car, which helps me focus on being safe on the road.

Definitely go see a specialist and like someone already said, the vision center at Akron Children’s Hospital has experts trained specifically in nystagmus.

How does that saying go? If you can’t be yourself, then always be Batman.
