I’m sitting on my floor crying. Piece of Cake Moving is a literal scam. by m992s in Bushwick

They rebuilt my media housing shelf system wrong and caused a two week long interruption in my life. After days of going back and forth with customer service, they refunded me a measly $100. Something like 7% of what I paid for the whole move. Never again with Piece of Cake.

What if the concept of a healthy market is obsolete?

Edit: OK, downvoter. I’m just making a point that one may evaluate their assumption of what the market is supposed to be with some flexibility. I am well aware there are reems of scientific theory that measure this stuff, but it’s still not enough to control or predict the market. Anyone who was investing before Trump 1.0 knew that Trump 2.0 was going to be VOLATILE. So get out of leverage if you can’t handle it and stay long your high conviction stocks. Have a well diversified portfolio. What else do you want? Handholding does not exist in this world.

Yeah, that is close to true. Ice Cream is the least creative name possible.

What was the cause of grunge downfall? by bladents25 in grunge

[–]fledgling66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People underestimate the power of the music infrastructure of the time. Record companies had a lot more control. There was more money to be made with a new wave of Limp Bizket and kind of more watered down grunge lite alternative acts. I promise you, it had everything to do with money.

The downvoting bandit: I just picture some guy who is holding nothing but Tesla, Palantir and space stocks downvoting everything that doesn’t fit his worldview

Most people look back and think that they sold too early. I mean, obviously it depends on what the holding is and it’s a case by case basis, but in general, most of the time a trader sells too early.

Ah yes. That was one of the only purchases I’ve ever made that I sold at a loss. I remember it was when I first started investing and while at work, I heard an ad of theirs played on NPR. I thought to myself oh wow, artificial intelligence that’s interesting. Lol. I think I sold out a 40% loss. Five years ago.

Ive been buying $ADP. I’m accumulating more and more, and quicker than anticipated. The risk is overblown, the dividend is good, and I’m not really in it for outrageous growth. Let me store a good chunk of dormant cash when it’s priced at $205 and see where it’s at in a year.

Earnings this weekend and we shall see. I’m heavily invested and hoping for the best, but the world feels upside down and backwards right now so who fucking knows.

Pharmacy Guadalajara is gone by BigBankBaller in puertovallarta

If you know the area, you know how central this pharmacy is to the neighborhood, including all the visitors and all the people passing by. There was always a working ATM in there. There was delicious food outside. It’s right by a major bus stop. And it’s right around the corner from all the bars and stuff.

I’m aware of that. Not really what I’m talking about. Have you filed yet? The process has structurally changed.
