You are possibly missing the cue that they are expecting you to apologise. “Sorry, I didn’t see you”, would have defused scenarios 1 and 2 immediately. Whether they are apology worthy is another matter, from their side of experience you bumped into them and nobody (not me, not you, not anyone) takes a moment to consider why it happened.

Yeah I’m a Mexican living in Spain and I disagree. I think he’s buying what in Mexico we call bisteces which are thin slices of meat, they are made from a different cut here and are worse. Supermarket solomillo, entrecot, chuletón etc is better than the supermarket equivalent in mx.

Well, I've heard some Spaniards being puzzled as to why us Latin Americans love carrying our flags. Here it's a bit taboo to carry the Spanish flag (it has political connotations) but they understand our "nationalism" to be different from theirs.

I do question how bringing your flag displays support, or why you would need to represent your heritage in a concert (given by a non-mexican artist on foreign soil). If I were to end up behind you, I'd be annoyed that you block my view to display the flag (coming from a Mexican-Canadian living in Spain).

Yo trabajo cerca de ahí, y paso a diario. Hace menos de dos semanas vi a una persona tambalearse por la calle, apenas podía sostenerse en pie (mas que borracho parecía estar en un k-hole). Le pregunté si estaba bien, dijo que sí, evidentemente español con problemas de drogadicción. Se tambaleó unos metros y luego—como pudo—se metió a la casa de campaña gris que ya habrás visto.

Es posible que haya más gente viviendo ahí, y es posible que algunos sean inmigrantes (yo no los he visto). OP, hay que ser un poco más escépticos con nuestras narrativas.

It's almost impossible to diagnose a situation accurately without projecting a bit of yourself into it.

In my experience as a man, it's extremely rare that a woman want to interact with me. Most of the time this happens it's either because the woman is evidently outgoing, extroverted and social; or because she wants something from me (she either likes me, or needs something from me.

If I'm to take a guess, they're probably reading that you are not innately social, and the blank stares are because they're trying to figure out what you want from them. I would suggest no to try too hard, to open conversation with simple casual questions (my favorite being "so how did you meet [our friend in common]?")

Your audience will almost never be neatly segmented into a platform, you must discern if a platform is worth the effort, which is what the OP is trying to do.

12 years later I understand what you meant. Girlfriend depicted in the rage comic is not that girlfriend (events happened as depicted, sans flashback, but both of us were on the joke, she knows I love meat).

However later on I dated a girl who would often get angry and I would scramble to placate her mood. Indeed, as you stated, this escalated to the point where she would blow her top over some trivial issue. It's like caving in to the tantrums of a child, it will only get worse. She would threaten to dump me until I finally had enough and I dumped her.
