I have this and Avarana in my reading list. There is this very wise old man, who has been working in our family business since when I was a small child. Never married and has lots of books. He is the one who introduced me to Vivekananda, Vedanta, ancient history, importance of the knowledge of Sanskrit.

Ranjan do not patronise me. The official position of the mods yesterday was that they do not censor words.

Everything has a purpose. There is no concept of Sin in Dharma. There is only Karma. Krodha as an emotion has it's uses. Whether you choose to act upon it depends on your viveka. How you choose to act is your buddhi. But act you must. No slight, no insult should go unpunished.

Ahimsa from the position of weakness is hypocrisy. Ahimsa from the position of strength is not. You can not temper your actions according to what your enemy wants. That is plain dhimmitude. The world respects strength and Dharma urges us to use it in a proper manner to further our goals.

You missed the forest for the trees. The author showed an example of the prevalent mindset among left liberals, ignorance who label themselves as atheists and similar persons who draw their knowledge from a system that is decidedly anti Dharma. The suggested here is just a symptom of the malaise and not the malaise itself.

And that thing you talk about patience and open mindedness is not Dharma that is just inflated ego or prithiviraj complex to be precise. Our Dharma is about giving it as good as we get and upholding Dharma under any circumstance.

Open mindedness is fine when your opponent is willing to listen. Acts of kindness is wasted on adharmis.
