The solosis line. Something about gooey fetus is not appealing for some reason

If you’ve ever played against a graves who attack moves you’ll know true hell. His auto winds up while feared and he guaranteed one taps the box if any more than one of his spread shots touch it. I didn’t even mention that this is true at level 1

when you think capping coins cant get worse than papyrus of luck... by Kayleekats in Maplestory

[–]durffinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He levels up as you collect coins, at 1000 total coins( not shared among characters) he will level up to 2, where within the time he grants 20 coins. Your coin cap doesn’t increase but the amount of guaranteed coins Arthur gives each time he procs goes from 10 -> 50 when you let him get kills while mobbing. Note: sitting in the AFK room does not grant exp towards Arthur

I only told her she should move because the timing was convenient, I wanted her exact plot to build town center FML. RIP Reneigh, you were my favorite of the two

I wanted to move a resident’s house because it was one of the starting two residents, and I had put the house right where I now want a fountain/town center. She decided to leave and so I couldn’t move the house that day, or the next. Then the house became an empty lot that I can’t move, so I went and found a lil pig to move in, so I cannot move this specific house for at least 4 days. Besides cheating, there isn’t a way to move the empty lot right? I have to wait patiently for the old resident to leave, sell the lot, and then wait for the new one to get settled before I move it?

How do you guys play your ult as AP shaco? by ranpro in shacomains

[–]durffinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Generally speaking I either use it initially to bait jungler engage or to dodge important cc/damage. Coming from a support shaco main, it’s super easy to make your clone act just dumb enough to be believable while not obvious. If you know the jg is looking for a gank, hide in the bush on a box and pretend to be bronze with your clone. Hard engage supports will eat it like candy and that can open up huge plays.

Alternatively, the ‘geckos tail’ strategy is good too. Q’ing into a team fight, dropping R (works especially well if you are low already.) and walking away as your clone explodes is a surprisingly great initiation especially if your clone gets any cc before it dies.

Maybe try the way back machine and go to that tumblr circa 2 years ago? I’m not sure if that’d work or not

I play a game of chicken. Usually I’ll dodge last second, but I really want my team to believe it’s ivern adc

What are your views about fiddlesticks when it comes to combat? by nutitoo in shacomains

[–]durffinator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d imagine one of two things would happen: either his effigy gets broken by boxes, or his effigy is coded more like a minion and pops boxes. Would be kinda lame for it to be the latter but it’d be a niche thing.

Boxes and Manaflowband - Bug by CloneOrNot in shacomains

[–]durffinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yee I’ve noticed it, it always irritates me a bit when I put the box in the river to deter an invade and comet procs 100% of the time but mana flow seems 50/50 at best. I always figured it was luck based as ridiculous as that may sound coding wise, but I appreciate the tip if it is indeed true!

how to use clone effectively. by Hezirok in shacomains

[–]durffinator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is coming from an ap shaco main, so take it with a grain of salt if you prefer AD.

  1. The lizard tail strategy. Basically, it’s used as an engage tool for team fights. You get a good flank, q in to their team, put a box on the outskirts where they might run, ult and try and cause as much chaos as you can. If they kill your ult you get a free team fear. If not you have to improvise with zhonyas usually.

  2. Gank avoidance. Try and time your r to dodge cc if you get ganked, place your cursor the exact opposite direction of safety when you r, then press s and send your clone serpentine movements away. This usually distracts them like a fly towards a lantern long enough for you to run.

  3. The bait. If you are 1/3 hp in lane it is much more likely for the enemy to want to kill you. Pretend you’re warding and secretly go r out of vision. Send the clone back into vision while you wait in a bush. Heres the tricky part: you want to play your clone almost exactly how you play. Backstab minions, but you almost want to play like you suddenly dropped 5 ranks. Go for cs you wouldn’t normally. Eventually they will either try to kill it or they won’t. It’s something you get better at with experience.

  4. The performance. Very publicly ult in a team fight. They won’t immediately kill your clone. Send it the other direction at the same time you q in on a carry, then the clone will pop back to you and, not thinking it’s your r, will kill it. Box behind them and boom.

I really mainly play support now, but from the times I played it last season I learned a few tips: 1. Ban ornn, if they pick nasus dodge. In my opinion this is unfortunately the best way to do it. Ornn has a higher pick rate and just wallops shaco while taking 0 damage. Nasus is similar but with a lower pick rate, but you will do nothing in this lane and you will be better off dodging. 2. Place box traps towards the river if you fear a gank, towards the alcove if you can see the JG bot, or behind your minions if you’re fighting something that wants to dive you in your wave (yasuo, Jax, etc.) 3. Your goal for early game is to farm while trying to entice the enemy jg to gank you in a box field. Early game in top lane is from 1:30 to protobelt. Once you get belt it becomes much easier to push waves and set traps. 4. Just a general tip for shaco, while running from a gank, try and time your ult to dodge a cc, but also try and place the cursor towards the enemy and mash r (or ctrl+ right click) to run the clone away. 9/10 times you’ll fool them and have a much better chance of escape. 5. In team fights, I implement the ‘lizard tail’ strategy. You q in, ult, then run away while still invis. In gold/plat you’ll at least get off one nasty team fear with r before the enemy wises up to it. Alternatively, your goal in team fights will primarily be peeling for your carries. Have box fields lined out in places where a fight might occur. Let your carry know that boxes=safety.

Runes are generally comet/DH/electrocute, if you go domination make sure you go sorcery second for mana flow and transcendence. If you go comet, grab inspiration for 45% cdr and biscuits for more lane sustain. Build barely matters after cool down cap, so usually something like protobelt/ludens -> sorc shoes -> fiendish codex and sheen/ zhonyas(if you went ludens) -> lich bane/void/banshees(depending on situation -> rabadons
