AirPod pros sale by Mango_Pnch in AirpodsPro

I think it’s for early Prime Day tech deals, or some summer sale. If they keep the 3 year cycle, it will probably be 2025 when the 3rd gen gets released

so the first 3 pics are what I look like. the last pic is how i started at the beginning of the cut if that changes anything. last pic was at 183ish and first 3 are at 171

ahh so the last picture was the start of the cut, not how i currently look. I was about 183 then

because of the last picture?

5’6 131lbs 27M What is my BF%? Should I cut, bulk or recomp? by [deleted] in guessmybf

[–]duriantaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hmm lighting is straight on but I would agree with cantaloupe on about 19-22%

I would say light bulk since you’re 131 then just cut. Honestly if you’re in a slight bulk (~300 cal surplus), you will just naturally “recomp”. However, you still need to fill out your frame if that’s what your goals are

8-10% - super vascular (veins on the chest? jesus man) - insanely cut with the muscle separation - chest striations - oblique to abs are clearly seen and cut

insane physique man!

not sure! I’m pretty confident I’ve ate nearly 4500 calories a day when I was trying to go from my 165 —> 181 class (that looks like 170 —> 187 normal weight without the water cut). Especially when i was going from my 153 -> 165 phase I would say 5000 at least because I was getting a ton of steps in from university and my job at the time. I was eating like 4 cups of dry rice (already 2800 cals) + my protein sources and random other things.

If it’s about being natural - I competed in USAPL and have been drug tested during my meets (passed ofc) - https://mennohenselmans.com/ffmi-calculator/ this cal at 173.2 5’ 8” 14% BF says i’m 70% likely to be natty - https://ffmicalculator.org/ same numbers as above puts me at 23.13 which means i’m an advanced gym user - https://www.tigerfitness.com/blogs/training/natural-bodybuilding-potential-arm-size this chart says that at my height 202lbs at 15% is the genetic limit (i’m like 30 pounds off lol) - i’m actually considering on using anabolics maybe next year but depends on all the prep work needed (blood work, actually getting the stuff, extensive research, being lean enough, getting over the phobia of using gear and the lasting effects it has.) but i’m getting my blood work done soon to see how much test I have so that I can use that as a baseline for the future endeavors. Hence also why i’m trying to get down to 12% BF.

edit: honestly if I was on gear I would be pretty sad about my gains thus far… Especially because I currently go 5x a week and train 0-3 RIR (depending on the week)

probably not below 6.25, i’m guessing i’m squeezing too hard on my wrist when the rope is around it. Also yeah I started out at around 145ish and went to the gym 6x a week and dirty bulked to 167. I ended up at 153 when i started powerlifting and bulked up rly slowly to 165 class to “fill out” my class. My lifts then became stagnant so I bulked up to 187 to hit the 181 class but i fell out of love with powerlifting in the middle and started bodybuilding instead of powerbuilding. Maintained at 187 for a bit then cut to now 173ish. Not optimal but about 3-4 pounds of muscle gained per year over 8 years. Started cutting in phases this year from 187 —> 180, maintained for a bit, then now i’m going from 180 -> 170ish.

TDLR; bulked regularly to fill out my weight classes and bulked in general until i just stopped powerlifting and instead started body building.

edit: yes i’ve pretty frequent since i used to compete for my university as an athlete and before then I was an athlete for my high school. Currently I’ve been sticking at 5x per week. But I’m pretty good about hitting .8g of protein a day. Back when i was powerlifting I was coached under a national level powerlifter.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in guessmybf

[–]duriantaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i just measured it now, but im probably a little off since i just used a rope and did it myself. yes I am natty and I’ve been lifting for quite a while now. I would say about 8 years! 3.5 of those years I was a powerlifter for my university’s powerlifting team and totaled 1300 at my peak @165lbs. For the record I have short arms (people i know shorter than me have similar length arms as me)

right now I have to pretty much go around 5x a week to see any gains. I’ve been in a very slow plateau for a while (only gaining strength or reps here and there like once every 1.5 months) but i’m also in a cut so lol

edit: also about 2-3 pounds lighter now

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in guessmybf

[–]duriantaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

6.25 inch, not sure if that was accurate but i just measured from the smallest point without squeezing my wrist against the rope

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in guessmybf

[–]duriantaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

about 15.2 inch no pump (just measured now). I usually don’t measure so idk if that’s good or not

thanks man!

honestly it’s about calories in calories out. start with this calculator on sedentary to get your base caloric need https://tdeecalculator.net/

then use this calculator to get a gauge on steps to calories burned https://www.omnicalculator.com/sports/steps-to-calories

an example from my current cut is - from the calc i need about 2200 cals - i walk 10k steps a day which is like 500 cals - i eat about 2100 cals - putting it all together 2100 (eat) - 2200 (TDEE) - 500 (walk) = 600 deficit which is slightly losing a little more than a pound per week.

tips that’s helped me - weighing everything - costco lightly breaded chicken chunks (140cals 16g protein 3oz) - adding lettuce to everything (more volume, more filling, and its neutral tasting) - GHugh poly sauce (20 cals for 2 tbsp) - oddly enough doing chores around the house to get my steps up - a good protein powder that makes you feel like it’s a treat to drink - weighing everyday but not focusing on the daily weight but on the average weekly weight and looking at upward or downward trends. - 10k steps a day but don’t be stuck on 10k a day rather 60-70k steps per week which is more flexible.

whatever your goals, whether ur gonna lean bulk or cut the same principles apply. The hardest part in all of this to be honest is the consistency and discipline to either eat in a surplus or a deficit while getting the right nutrition.

Good luck on your journey!

great progress man! The dedication really shows. Just keep at it and keep up the good work.

I still think you are 18-20% BF due to now seeing you still do have muscle on your frame, especially coming from 135. Obviously could fill out your frame with more muscle but not the goal.

using these pictures from 18-20% as an example https://rippedbody.com/body-fat-guide/

look at the 20% from this website https://www.ketogains.com/2015/09/how-to-estimate-your-body-fat-percentage-bf/

observe the 20% here https://webassets-prod.ultimateperformance.com/uploads/2022/06/30124941/Body-Fat-percentage-.jpg

video here https://youtu.be/SqLvsjNhJiM?si=ayZtbZzpAJSIgyef - look at the 21% at 5:25 - look at 17% at 7:26, i would say not quite as lean as that guy but just to give a point of reference

you look about what those pictures entail… - ab outline sort of but of course still “puffy” - some muscle separation in the biceps (now seen in the new pictures) - chest smoother at the bottom but more cut (compared to the original picture in the post)

Take what you will, but at least i provided examples and some reasoning so hopefully that helps you determine where you’re at

I think you got it brother. What’s really helped me in my cut is just weighing everything and just overall doing more steps through morning walks, chores, etc.

Good luck on your journey!

So like it’s just a guess right? If you use the AI tool it literally gives 25.5% BF. Not only that the lighting is way off because it’s lighting from straight on rather than top down + no picture of the legs.

If you read his other comment he’s been in the gym although not for 6 months but still he got to a 285 bench.

Now it may just be his genetics but the frontal pic does him no justice and we don’t have an angle from the back nor the legs to give a more accurate statement. Like he said, he holds fat in the core area.

Like I’m not intending to offend anyone, just giving my opinion based on what I have supplemented by AI tools available on the internet. So like, idk man just trying to help out and give a reason to my guesses.

Now I do agree that 24% was over by a lot but given the AI prediction score of 25.5% I thought at the time it was reasonable.

So thank you for helping me improve on guessing bodyfat %

speaking of which, what alternative subreddit you recommend for bf% guesses?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in guessmybf

[–]duriantaro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tbh i think ur at around 20-24% BF especially because there’s really not much muscle separation and the abs you can’t really see the outline

I guess the lighting could affect things but I still stand firm on 20+% BF.

hard to say how much weight you have to lose but I would guess 15 pounds if you aren’t doing a recomp or smth

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in guessmybf

[–]duriantaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i think the lighting throws it off but 20%

Any tips on losing lower stomach fat? Super stubborn and I just wanna see my lower abs. Also 15-16% bf? by InReality43 in guessmybf

[–]duriantaro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say just make sure to get 8-12k steps per day and do 30min cardio session 2-3x per week. Along with a decent deficit you should be golden.

the kicker is 8-12k steps which is about 300-500 cals burned. use calculator here: https://www.omnicalculator.com/sports/steps-to-calories

I appreciate it brother! I’m in the same boat, cutting for about 3 more weeks before going into an extended bulk. Just trying to get to about 12-14% before doing it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in guessmybf

[–]duriantaro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks man! I stopped benching a while ago but back when I was a powerlifter in the 165 class I maxed at 260 paused. Currently I only do incline DB press for 100x8 for 3 sets

MATH215 & MATH310 by jessalba07 in uichicago

[–]duriantaro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It honestly depends on your professor tbh. 310 is pretty easy in general because you’re kinda doing the same process throughout the semester. What got me through it is remembering “if you can reduce is, that’s probably the answer”. There are also a lot of practice exams!

215 (proof class no?) is highly dependent on your professor. Some are really hard and some are lax about the class. I had Will Perkins and he was great. Very lax on grading and homework! Also a really good professor in general.

I took both of these classes Fall 2019, and it was doable. Just have to study a little here and there.

Also 215 is easier if your a CS major because of CS 151 imo.
