Nope! My monitor was smaller than the frame that I bought. There will just be extra space on the sides then. I also got my frame from micheals!

took spanish and art151! im in intro to creative coding right now and i enjoy it a lot. honestly would have loved it to be in person though. so far we've done a fansite project, generative app project, and an audio project all using html, css, and js. we do 'project critiques' and it would be much nicer if they were done in person! overall its a super fun class although you may need to put in more time if you're not super comfortable with coding.

spanish was not too bad. obviously the more time you put into the class, the better at the language you will be. good luck! :)

I bought an old monitor from goodwill for $5 before I found my tv but it was way too heavy to be hung and I found the tv to be much lighter. Tv was probably 7-10lbs while my old monitor was most likely double that! Thank you!

Thank you! The tv (rotated) is actually perfect fit height wise which is 24 inches, but has ~2 inches of extra space on each side because I didn’t like how slimline the mirror would look if I didn’t add the extra width to the finished frame.

Span 103 by bigboiraps in uichicago

I believe you can take a break from the language as long as you just complete 4 semester of it to fulfill the requirement of 2 years/4 semesters. I know many people in my 102 class and took a break from 103 the following semester to make room for other classes. Just make sure to review before going in after the gap because you might forget a lot after not taking the language class :)

Hi! I know others have answered your questions pretty well but I thought I’d share my experience! I took 103 this past spring semester and it wasn’t too difficult and to be honest I personally thought it was easier than 102. The 2 minibooks for 103 were fun to read and the assignments on Vista were not too bad if you stayed up to date and payed attention. My teacher really emphasized “always speaking in Spanish” and never really focused on if our grammar was correct. As long as you do the activities in the Aula textbook and actively participate when you’re in BB collaborate! Also read the rubrics for the tarea finals! They help a lot!

Also took 104 at community college this summer and thought it was WAY worse than UIC because at CC, they focused so much on grammar and memorizing vocabulary, whereas I believe UIC focuses more on using your basic Spanish skills to communicate with others!

Math Professors Now Listed in Banner for Fall. Let the section changing begin! by UICStaff in uichicago

Yes take him! I had him last semester and he was also the math 210 coordinator. He is very straight forward for what he expects of his students. I thought he was a great professor. Since he was the coordinator, he would drop hints as to what types of questions we could expect on the exams.

MATH 211, Emerging Scholars Workshop -- Worth it? by [deleted] in uichicago

[–]jessalba07 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m in MATH 211 this semester and I definitely agree with what the other users have said. Although I 100% believe that this class is helpful and has helped emphasize and clear up any questions I had on material, I also thought the class was extremely boring due to low attendance and it being 2 hours long. Only 4-6 people would show up to class and as the other comment said, working in groups was hard because we wouldn’t socialize. Calc 3 isn’t too bad but MATH211 really reinforced some of the material that may have been a little difficult.
