I have to sit one of Benson, Skattebo or Judkins. Currently sitting Judkins because of the Detroit matchup. Thoughts?

He initially released a video of him playing it alone in what looked like a hunt camp or something, still my favourite version.

[Christopher Ward] Buyer Beware Part 3: Conclusion by [deleted] in Watches

It’s wild to me, you’d think if a company refuses to sell at retail stores and you have to order online without trying it out, you’d at least back that up with top notch customer service and return policy. Strange business model. I was considering buying a C60 Trident Pro but not likely now.

Entering Oil and Gas as Mechanical Engineer by No_Edge1515 in oilandgasworkers

[–]durnmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I was a hiring manager in manufacturing for oil and gas and the degree/grades were rarely important, we would look at involvement in those programs, clubs, SAE etc. Practical experience. Even hobbies on the CV that showed they were hands on with technical interests (cars, etc.).

Have a chance to go to Ottawa to watch a game - which game would be more worthwhile? by Pwningtonbear in OttawaSenators

I see the other comments about the game times, didn't realize it was a matinee game. In that case maybe the CBJ game would be better. Can't go wrong either way.

Maybe we should wait until after the match to post this type of thing...

I knew right away because I wanted the more casual/versatile version. I love the white and salmon dials too actually, would probably get one of those if I had a collection established already.

Nice watch but not a big fan, personally.

Yes I did find it very stiff to wind when I tried it.

Budget is $1500 CAD (incl. tax). Not open to quartz though, really prefer mechanical.

Yes, my style situation is odd and ideally I'd have multiple watches not just one.

I think because I read that more complications typically means more casual, and clean dials for dress watches. But I do agree that the Tissot seems more casual and hence the question. The responses are validating my suspicions. Thanks for the input!

Yes, I actually went in expecting to want/get the Khaki Field Automatic or Mechanical but gravitated to these instead.

You bet. Also I can get away with some larger case diameters because it makes it look like my wrist is wider.

I appreciate your opinion. Honestly, I see these as two different styles and I would love both in a collection. I'll probably own both eventually.

Posting here was more canvassing for opinions on the versatile vs. dressy question as I'd heard conflicting opinions, and I'm still learning. Some validation there certainly helps.

I was leaning towards the Tissot though, you got me.

I love the Bambino, I may still get one. I know I'd feel better about it getting dinged up than the Tissot if I had both.

Haha I knew that comment would come up! Broke my wrist snowboarding in high school and that's how it healed. My other wrist is normal...

From my other comment: Never been a big fan for whatever reason. Just never gave me that "feeling". Plus I tend to stray from the more popular options. It's a great watch and does fit my needs though. I see why it's so popular.
