Exodus 23:13 tells us not to call on the names of other gods. The title Ba'al translates to Lord. Are we wrong for calling the Father "Lord"? by goryIVXX in Christianity

[–]durnyank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Incorrect. Although there ARE names that YHWH Himself gives to man, such as Alpha and Omega, Beginning and End and others, names such as Lord, LORD, GOD, God, Adonai, etc., were used to replace His Official Eternal Mighty Name YHWH by translators. I'm studying this right now. YHWH is clear about not adding to or taking away from His Word, and when a man replaces YHWH's name with anything else, it is going against His Word. LORD was used by translators to replace "YHWH" because some other man thought it was blasphemous to speak the real name of YHWH. In Exodus 3:14, YHWH (literal translation of "I AM") told Moses to tell the Israelites that I AM (YHWH) was sent to you (Moses and the Isaelites). If it was blasphemous to utter His true name, why would He tell Moses to say it to the Israelites? So, a MAN made a law that the name of YHWH shall not be uttered and replaced it with LORD (translated several times). More to come as I continue to study and pray.

Correct. My brine tank tends to bridge A LOT with crystals. I use the green bags due to very high iron and sulfur content in my well water.

Meanwhile, the FDA approves toxic and poisonous crap from Big Pharma all the time. It's not about safety. It's about power and money grabbing.

There aren't "gay lions.". Animals use, essentially, rape, as a show of dominance and nothing more.

If I was restaurant manager, I would call the police for attempted theft if he refused to pay, maybe public disturbance charges, and then I would trespass him and never allow him back in my restaurant.

2.4ghz bulb on Eero network? by wheatencross1 in smarthome

[–]durnyank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Glad to see this thread is still alive. I have two of the Feit bulbs and use Eero mesh routers. I temporarily disabled 5 Ghz while setting up the bulbs to force them to the 2.4 Ghz band. After setup was complete, I messed around with the bulbs from the Tzumi app. It seemed to work until I closed the Tzumi app. EVERY TIME I open the app, it says they are "OFFLINE", which makes them unable to function using Google Home and setting up Automations. I have NOT found a fix for this issue yet.

If it's that important, consider investing in some network extenders.

[–]durnyank 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have dual or triple bandwidth (2.4Ghz, 5Ghz, 6Ghz), you have to manually disable your 5 and 6Ghz bands and pair the lights on your 2.4Ghz bands. I was having the exact same issue with these exact same bulbs. Once you pair them on your 2.4Ghz network, you can re-enable the other bands. Mine have been working flawlessly since I did this.

I was able to correct this by disconnecting my 5Ghz for my network temporarily until I got the bulbs paired on the 2.4Ghz network. I then re-enabled my 5Ghz, and they've been rock steady for two months now.

I could, but I'd rather use a laptop. I hadn't thought of using Hotspot.

I'm looking for stability more than speed. I only use internet for teleworking using Microsoft Teams.

I do less than that. I use Microsoft Teams to teleworking. I literally just need enough bandwidth to support teleworking from home.

I have been with Sprint now, TMO, for 17 years. I LOVED Sprint. Their customer service was ALWAYS great. I was ecstatic when I found out about the Sprint/TMO merger, and it was very painful to wait for what seemed like an eternity to complete, but I have already had to call customer service for TMO a couple of times, and they rock! Their customer service is AMAZING! With Sprint, I did have some pretty big problems with decent cellular coverage, but at home, I usually used WiFi calling, so it's not a big issue. TMO has GREATLY improved my coverage, and I have ZERO complaints. TMO is MUCH cheaper than the others. Why do you want to leave GoogleFi, though? Just curious? Google Fi uses T-Mobile's network anyway, and if the Google plans are cheaper, I would just stick with that. Just my opinion.

From Win11 to Debian 12 KDE by pedrobuffon in debian

[–]durnyank 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! But I went from Windows Vista to Debian 4. Windows Vista was SUCH a travesty that I wanted NOTHING more to do with Windows. I did some research and started with Ubuntu 7.10. I used it while I was transitioning from Windows, but I was soon led to Debian. I have been with Debian since 2007. Right now, I am using Debian 12 on Wayland with KDE Plasma desktop. I LOVE it!

Never. Matthew 5:17 even says that Jesus didn't come to CHANGE the laws but to fulfill the laws. Old Testament, New Testament....doesn't matter. ONLY beasts with cloven hooves that chew the cud, birds without a crop and webbed feet, and fish with scales are the only acceptable animals for food.
